There was a comic where after the Civil War and Peter went Symbiote again, Jameson fired Robbie when he stood up to him for how he treated Peter. Later on after some confrontation with Peter, who heard about it and wanted Robbie to be hired again in exchange for punching him many times as he wanted. He does so, and decided to rehire him.

I feel like Jameson has the potential to be a really interesting character, but too many writers have fumbled it and focused his hate fully on Spiderman. Every time we explore JJ's reason for attacking Spiderman or get to see his backstory, it's stated that Jameson doesn't like the fact that he wears a mask to conceal his identity. I feel like that's a decent explanation for his hatred of Spiderman, but then why don't we see that explored with other masked heroes? Sure, everyone already knows Captain America's identity, but what about DareDevil, or MoonKnight? Why don't we see that fury spread to other masked vigilantes?

I think it's because heroes like Moon Knight, Daredevil etc. are more street level; people know of them, but they work a more limited range and time. Meanwhile, Spider-Man is City-level, swinging around the city in big bright colors. He has big destructive fights with supervillains, and does the usual vigilante stuff too. I could see Jameson viewing him as the greatest threat by how much of an influence he could have on the public. At least at the beginning; after that, it's probably more habit combined with the mind seeking more proof for his worldview than against it

Well, yes, constantly, it's despite his slander, and he's been on the podcast only to leave dismissive When someone proves spider-man was a hero, He hates how Reckless and uncalculated Spider-Man is. The introduction in Spider-Man PS4 proves it! By taking down the kingpin, without realizing the consequences that it will start a power vacuum. Mostly this is because when Jameson started his editorials against Spider-Man, Spidey made two mistakes. First, he took it personally and mocked Jameson to his face which it personal for Jameson. The second was feeding the editorials with pictures as Parker to pay his bills. Peter spent years keeping Jameson focused on him, to the point that he ignores most masked heroes unless they interact with Spidey.

Spidey only showed up after they had already initiated the arrest, so it's absolutely not fair of JJJ to blame him for that. In fact, if Spidey had stayed out of it and the police were as capable (and corruption-free) as JJJ _wants_ them to be, they would have taken in Fisk and created that power vacuum anyway. And if Spidey _did_ stay out of it, you can bet Jameson would have blamed him for any collateral damage and lives lost, questioned why he wasn't there to help, and probably led up to accusing him of secretly being Fisk's accomplice, unseen because he was trying to help the kingpin get away. Tell me you can't hear that particular podcast already.

Funny thing: As a law student, Jameson doesn’t have to do a damn thing. There is no enforceable contract that binds his publishing ability, and technically what the avengers did was coercion to suppress his 1st amendment rights. And funnier still it’s not defamation. They did invite him to the tower, they even attempted to bribe him with benefits to publish their way. He could actually sue them for this scene and win.

Imagine if after this, when dealing with the next big alien invasion. The Avengers when tossing around monsters and ships, keep throwing them at the Daily Bugle office. But Jameson is the real menace. His fixation on hating heroes taints his opinions and then that poison leaks out into his paper. Jameson would leave New York and the world at the mercy of super-powered villains, since they don't care about his editorials, while he tries to tear down the ones who actually try to help.

I don't remember Spider-Man having ANYTHING to do with Sandman, Vulture, the Goblins (minus Harry and his son) or the Shocker or Rhino -- they would still exist. Besides, let's assume that Spider-Man is ever arrested or quits... What, he thinks that they'd all become productive members of society? HA! Well, like Charles said: "the world needs dreamers.".

And this is why I hate Jameson. I don't care how funny he is, he's an asshole and won't even keep his word despite a room full of witnesses. A man who won't keep his word is no man at all and that alone makes Spiderman 10 times the man Jameson will ever be.

Jameson is definitely the worst character Marvel created. All he does is just publishing flat out lies without proof that Spider-Man is menace and when he does, it just turns out to be an imposter and he still treats Spidey like a villain. He doesn’t question others heroes and he doesn’t he even question, he just lies. To be honest, Marvel would be doing us a favor if they just killed him off or got to leave New York and replace with journalist that does support Spider-Man or question’s him at least with proof or better yet, make him a villain and get him arrested by Spider-Man to prove what a menace he is.

Great, First Spider-Man, now The Avengers? JJ really doesn't like superheroes that much, and he really likes criticizing them in the most cruelest and harshest way possible. Talk about being a real big jerk.
