Patrick and Diana had a once in a lifetime chemistry. You cannot "act" or "fake" the sexual chemistry these two had. They loved each other in real life and you can take that how you want. Nobody will be able to successfully reboot this series because nobody can recreate Patrick and Diana.
@MrToombstone
@MrToombstone 10 ай бұрын
You absolutely got that right. The chemistry between these two great actors could never be duplicated. That is why I boycotted the reboot movie. On the other hand Linda Thorson was tolerable with the help of Patrick MacNee. I tried watching the earlier Avengers and they were kind of boring.

I rarely watch this episode. In reality, Di Rigg was already gone and this transitional installment was put in to explain the hand off to Tara. I have read where some people praise this final scene, and while I do appreciate what little emotional morsel fans got, I always felt it was woefully short of expressing their true bond. Anyway, her final look back says to me "I'll be with him but I'll be thinking about you." And thus launched a thousand fanfics. 😄

I loved watching The Avengers. I was young, 6 years old but I remember Steed and Mrs. Peel! Diane Rigg played a good part in TGOT too.

Diana Rigg gave this series an excellent run and was a major reason for its success. However, realistically, she had much more to offer as an actress and was wise to move on to bigger projects. As for me, when she left the series I stopped watching. I do however watch the Avengers on DVD all the time.

Kidding right? Diana Rigg bottomed out quickly and nothing after this. A few flop movies then she ran back to do stage she sucked at everything else.

Hi Donna! If you call leaving Avengers to be the "Bond Girl" in 1969's James Bond movie "Her Majesty's Secret Service" bombing out, yeah she bombed out. It was among the top grossing films of 1969. ThronesDo you...read?

@@deesplaylists6941 IMO she was a real person not a shallow celebrity seeking puppet, that's why she could not/would not succumb to Hollywood, thankfully. She devoted herself to motherhood in preference to acting, for her daughters well being. She found stage acting more rewarding for herself as a mature woman but what she achieved with the Avengers was with regards to style, wit, charm, elegance and man appeal for me incomparable.

Muchas gracias Emma. Muchas gracias Diana.
