It's funny how with every enemy with shield when you try to walk around them to get behind them they turn along and hit you with their shield. It's annoying but also funny

I remember when this game went on sale last time on Steam in the 2020 summer sale. Having recently platted Sekiro, my first fromsoftware game, my first REAL game (i'm was a league addict), and still my favorite game of all time, I thought I'd enjoy DS3. I played it for about an hour and honestly it was just so different from Sekiro at the time that I ended up refunding it cuz I wasn't vibing with it. Fast forward 2 years later to spend 300 hours playing, beating, and enjoying the literal shit out of Elden ring, to spend months and months of waiting for any of the other DS games to go on sale until finally one of my friends just up and bought it for me this past Christmas because I was too much of a chud to buy a several year old game full price. It will never go on sale again as long as they keep releasing more Souls-like bangers like Elden Ring. Definitely regret refunding that game.

They don't put older Souls game on sale to new people to the genre after Elden Ring, should've been a FS fan years ago 😇

Haha I just fired up ds3 for the first time in a few years. I loved that game , was very well known in duel arena (my main was Cardinal Dexlin, you may remember me if you played around sl125 in 2020 or before). I breezed through all the main bosses this morning, then got to dancer, and was immediately piledriven into the floor. I had a chuckle as I remembered running to my death in this room dozens of times over years ago. I love this gams

Easily best fromsoft game. I will never forget back when the game had just came out and there were summon signs everywhere, you'd get invaded left right and people were using all kind of weapons. It was so much fun, I miss those days.

Just beat ds3 + dlcs after coming from elden ring , i somehow 1 shot every boss but twin princes which took me twice, weird af experience (Come from nioh also , maybe that helped)

I think the biggest thing I've had to learn going to Dark Souls 3 from Elden Ring is the kick mechanic. A: the fact that it IS SO FUCKING ANNOYING when you activate it on accident. B: the fact that it is FUCKING GODLY against shielded enemies. Seriously, it makes the Lothric knights and Cathedral knights a cake walk. Well...that and the ungodly large amount of stamina used for everything.

haven't played elden ring cause i'm haven't been interested in open world games for a long time now and yes every praise about er's open world is as cookie cutter as it can get, nothing impressive about no icons when the world has the same copy pasted dungeons every where. Hopefully fromsoftware delivers another compact experience like dark souls 3 one day
