The High Gear Awesome G56 Case (Heavy Duty G56 Case) has been in research, development and testing for two years. It has many upgrades from the original OEM G56 case. It is 20 percent heavier than the original G56 case which makes it more durable and resistant to catastrophic failure. The original G56 case weighs in at 32 pounds and the new updated Awesome G56 case weighs in at 40 pounds. The extra aluminum weight is dispersed evenly around the entire case making it thicker and stronger. Certain areas that have common issues breaking have extra reinforcements. The fill hole and screw holes are reinforced with extra heavy metal. These heavy duty G56 units have not been breaking during heavy load testing. Ive bought a few of the thicker G56 cases before, not from high gear and i honestly forget who made them lol but the thicker case is a must. im pretty sure the fella we got our case halves from was in early prototype manufacturing. After using our first half we purchased the truck would not shift into 5th gear. changed synchronizer, rings, input shaft, counter shaft. Could not figure it out. Onto the next day and thinking a little longer, and some more visual inspection I notice a marking internally where there shift fork was creating mating marks in the case. Took my grinder cleared out just enough and boom no more issues.

Cool Case. May I suggest a higher fill port for an extra quart of fluid? Odds are that If the transmission is out. The dual mass flywheel is getting replaced too.

Nice g56 came in gas trucks also I have one and I want to use it but the bellhousing bolt pattern is different will that bellhousing will fit the gas one in to Cummins?

Bellhousing on cummins g56 is a little bit bigger than the hemi g56.

So I have a question dont know if you can help me but anyways I own a 2500 Cummins and im thinking about swapping out my RE48 for a 6 speed G56. I recently found out by chance mercedes uses these in their Atego and Vario trucks and since I work in a Mercedes truck shop here in Germany I'd be able to get one easily, do you know if they are the same and if a Mercedes Box would fit my cummins?

Hello everyone ! My mechanic put wrong oil trasmission on my c300 2012 . He put red one 236.14 But the car need 236.15 blue one. I have made 14k km , what should i do . Could i have problem if i change now with blue one or should i keep red one
