A.Keys never stopped being so relevant atleast to my pov. I remember this album was so real to me. My mom single mother of two and my father too busy getting drunk and selling drugs and couldn't be bothered with being a father and I craved to be loved, this album gave me all that. Listening to this album on my cd player my mom was renting a 1 bdrm we still did not have beds so me and my little brother slept on the floor on opposite sides. I had this dream that some day we'd stop being poor and I'd learn piano.

Alicia let me tell you something I have an always will be a full album in person. I was brought up in the time when your mom was around music where I am the same age. So you learn to enjoy an entire album from start to finish. It may not be a song that’s playing on the radio all the time, but it’s that one song that you hear that you can relate to and that’s what makes it so special. This may be a B-side for you, but while listening to the whole album.... I was living with this song. In my heart there is no a or B side it’s just what the vibe that hits you and touches your heart. I’m gonna be 58 years old in October, damn I’m old. But I do love music from all genres and tapes and anything that touches my soul. That’s what good music is supposed to do.
