Arie did the right/hard thing. The cowardly move would’ve been to stay with Becca until after the show. Becca wouldn’t have become the bachelorette, it probably would’ve been Tia. And he still could’ve tried to get Lauren back offscreen. What he did perfectly set Becca up to be glorified in the public eye while villainizing himself but it’s now worth it because the world sees how serious he was about wanting a life with Lauren. It worked out for everyone.

There's a lot wrong with this. First of all, he shouldn't have said "I love you" to both women. Secondly, he shouldn't have let Lauren pour her heart out to him if he was gonna send her home anyways! Then, as he's leaving her and about to propose to Becca, he tells Lauren he loves her! Even after all that, he proposes to Becca and then contacts Lauren behind her back. Then, he breaks up with Becca on national TV cause he thinks that's the "right thing to do." He tells Lauren that he's a 1000% over Becca even though he was the one who proposed to her. Lastly, he proposes to Lauren on TV in the same studio where Becca is sitting!!! If he wants to pick Lauren, then fine. But what kind of a POS heartlessly dumps someone on TV and then proposes to another woman while she is around? He also did not respect Becca throughout this process. He toyed with her emotions, and got over her so quickly that him telling everyone that he loves two women during the finale sounds extremely fake. Honestly, Becca dodged a bullet. Happy for her! This ain't gonna last. He's a 36 year old, grey haired f*ckboy, and always will be.

People hate on Arie but they are some of the few bachelor/bachelorette couples that stayed strong. They have been together for a little over a year and a kid on the way.

Hope Lauren gets out fast. Just because they are not on tv anymore doesn’t mean he won’t toy with Lauren or try to get in touch with some of the other women. Hope that Becca finds an amazing man on the bachelorette.

I like Arie, from the first time I saw him on Emily Maynard's season...and no one should judge because the reality show is so swift and much of it is pre-programmed for how and what they are to say; who among us could know their heart in such few weeks? Only after stepping back and being able to breathe and really get to know the heart could be the reason.

This woman accepted a proposal from a man with feelings for another woman. Everyone bashing this man but 90% of the bachelors don’t want to get married and yet feel obligated to propose and choose all the while knowing they’ll breakup later on. He just wasn’t able to continue on with the charade.
