That scene with the kaleidoscope, I saw it as a revelation that Omega is a child but does not understand what it means to be a child because of her upbringing.

When Wilco says that he won't falsify the official report, he says it in a slow, thought out manner, almost to suggest he's fighting back against himself to say it, sort of similarly to when Rex held off his chip long enough to mention Fives to Ahsoka. Whether that's him just thinking carefully about his words or actually fighting his chip is up for debate, maybe we'll get more info soon

RIP Captain Wilco. I really enjoyed his performance in these two episodes and I was really sad when he was killed for having integrity 😤

There was also an easter egg of a White Mandalorian helmet on the wall in Sid's office. To me looked a lot like the prototype boba fett helmet...

Rampart blasting that clone commander was such a dark scene

I went into s2 with no expectations and I’m glad I did. I enjoyed both episodes and I’m just very excited to have Star Wars back.

When I was watching both I noticed Dave Filoni was inspired by the Pirates of the Caribbean and Indiana Jones movies. In the first scene with the crabs it was very similar when Captain Jack was running from the cannibal natives on the beach. The second is when Omega wanted to get the treasure but Echo told her to let it go. It was very similar to where Indiana Jones's dad told him about the holy grail and to let it go because his life matters more than treasure.

I love how Echo is seeming like a main character this season

Omega's bow is not a Nightsister bow. It's a Zygerrian bow. She took it from one of the slavers when they rescued Muchi. The Nightsisters used a completely different type of bow with a different style of construction.

Echo convincing Omega to give up the war chest reminded me so much of Henry Jones Sr telling Indiana Jones to let the Holy Grail go.

One side thing you may have missed. That struggle with the clone trooper that tech had where it was off screen blaster sounds. Tech might’ve had to shoot his brother back there because I didn’t hear a stun blast sound. So the killing of that commander and trooper could possibly get covered up but it’s such a minor detail so idk.

It was really nice to see clones acting like they did in the clone wars. There was a scene where a clone saved his comrade from wreckers antics

Its sad how dooku hated corruption but was later one to blame for corrupted actions againts his own people🙁 as tales of the jedi and bad batch now teached us

So obviously Crosshair didn’t tell the truth that his brothers survived to Rampart. That’s why Rampart think The Bad Batch is dead in Kamino. This could be the begining of Crosshair’s redemption arc.

I love how both shows made by Dave Filoni tell us sth about Dooku. We just got Tales of the Jedi where we are shown that Dooku tried to fight corruption and now after his fall to the dark side we are shown that he basically got corrupt too. A nice little contrast I also liked that detail with the stun blaster shots but I also found it sad that later they couldn't find a way around killing the pilots in episode 2.

Season 1 premiere was by far better, however, I did enjoy both episodes. Glad they weren’t dragged out, i’m looking forward to the rest of the show. Cannot wait to see Palpatine, Gungi & The Wookiees, Cody & Rex, and hoping for a Boba cameo 👀

I think giving her the Kaleidescape was just to remind her that she is still a kid and to enjoy the simple fun things in life. Don't grow up to fast. I don't think it actually has jewels or any secret past.

I also say the fact the new people in the military for the Empire are far too willing to betray each other to preserve and advance their career contribute to the Clones eventual rebellion. Following Orders is one thing but the unprofessional actions and willingness to not be upfront with their own mistakes is going to distance the clones from the Empire more. I don't even think Crosshair will be able to stand it if he finds out the things that new people in the Imperial military are doing. Crosshair is loyal to the Empire but even he has standards about what it means to be a soldier.

Dude at the start of the first episode when they said they were going to dooku's palace i said to my mate "do you remember that clone wars episode when they raid dookus palace and he escapes through that underground tunnel slide thing?" when they used it in the episode i was buzzing lmao

There's something else that you missed when Tech was looking at the seranoin data archive device he called it a separatist data archive but the old man corrected him and said Serano not separatist we were here before the war you know and Tech said I never thought about it like that

I absolutely love the new paint jobs on their armor. It gives them a little more individuality, yet at the same time still has a unit or "family" vibe to it.

One of The Emperor’s biggest mistakes is that he valued Quantity over Quality.

I like how Omega was the only one using a lethal option.

It’s amazing how good Star Wars content can be when people behind it actually care about the lore and just plain good story telling and not other agendas!

Man if you love the Clone Wars like I do this show makes you feel like you’re out of time 😂 seeing Dookus old lair when I just watched the episode where Ventress attempted to assassinate him was so weird

I had a much different impression of Rampart in season 1. Cold, calculated, actually seemed like he had himself composed. Now I see he’s no different then just about every other imperial officer who has personal ambition.

That scene where Omega is trying to get the out of reach jewels and Echo is softly saying let them go. Totally gave me an Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade vibe. Where Indy is trying to reach for the Grail and his father is like “Indiana…let it go”.

Rampart shooting captain Wilco off the edge because he refused an order reminded me of that clone who refused to give Darth Vader intel about an order 66 for him, pretty cool parallel.

Loved how this gets into why they get rid of the clones. Clones don't so politics and power plays. My bet that this will be the reason why they will rebel. I think it is going to be just that simple

I think the crabs chasing the boys is a reference to POTC 2 with Jack running from across the beach

This also means Crosshair didn't report their escape to the empire

Tech was incredible in this episode

Wile I was watching episode 2 I could see call backs to the Jurassic Park Lost World cliff scene with the rope and the speeder bike and Jurassic park 3 "we haven't landed yet" scene with the crate and echo saying "we still haven't landed". AND a call back to The Last Crusade scene with the cup with Echo and Omega and the backpack with the shinny stuff.

Omega is a strategist so learning from all the others will make her skills greater.

This is definitely going to be another series like the clone wars with multiple seasons. I can’t wait for what’s to come. Makes me feel like a kid again watching the new clone wars episodes come out every week on Cartoon Network.

I agree that the kaleidoscope is more than it seems. At 9:50 it looks much like a map of hyperspace routes to me than that just a kaleidoscope.

My boy Wilco ain't dead I just can't believe it. Seeing Hondo again in this show would be extreme, he is such an awesome character. Love these 2 episodes and the watch party, keep up the good work big dawg

I love Star Wars but I’m not really a fan of The Bad Batch because I feel like a lot of the characters are one dimensional and stereotypical, but I’m happy this season is off to a fun fast paced start. Looking forward to next week’s watch party! 🤩 May the force be with everyone

I hope the next episodes are a bit less full of just action, because these episodes were like neat expressos/morning bars of energy meant to engage people into the supposed norm of The Bad Batch again. But I hope the norm gets changed because random missions that don’t substantially change the world or heavily connect us with the characters can only get us far engaged. The thing that always gets me into the show though are the precious babies though so yeah this show is a 100/10.

Remember, he built his war chest up to fight sidious. That's why he asked QJinn to join him to fight the dark side. He wanted to merge dark and light to rid the universe of corruption.

I want more of Echo doing things, he's the only character of the Bad Batch that we have a history with and now it just feels like he's just there for the sake of it

Here's an idea that came to me. I'd love to see Bad Batch be the reason the Empire switched to stormtroopers. I'd love for the Bad Batch to find a way to transmit a counter 66 order to all clones freeing them. And thus making the empire have to use Stormtroopers.

Hopefully the finale will lead to the clone rebellion against the Empire

Awesome video!!! These first two Episodes were Awesome!!! I Loved seeing The Bad Batch again!!! Hunter and Wrecker were Great as Always, And Also Tech was Awesome in these two episodes! He's always been so underappreciated and I was so scared when He fractured his Leg. But then He basically saved them all! And I Love Omega So Much!!! Also Echo got a lot to do too which makes Me So Happy because I've always been A huge Fan of Him since His First Episode In The Clone Wars! These two Episodes in General were just Amazing!!! I'M SOOOOOO EXCITED FOR SEASON 3!!!!!!

I like how ep 2 showcased how much of a badass Tech was when he takes out an entire squad who had an eweb set up by himself while wounded and gets up from it still combat ready fully aware of all his surroundings even with a gunship bearing down on him. Really highlighted his methodical disposition.

When wrecker ambushes that first clone when going into the storage crates the same or similar musical cue that played when obi wan jumps down from the rafters and says hello there is played I think

What triggered me the most was when they used the tie fighter laser sounds when the LAAT gunship was shooting instead of the iconic gunship laser sound 😑

honestly, one thing that heavily stood out to me about both episodes (besides the ominous scenery of serreno and the death of wilco) was the greater amount of focus and characterization placed on echo (and to a lesser extent, tech). echo can clearly be seen filling the mentor role towards omega regarding the war chest, and the trauma he endured during his captivity under the techno union definitely shaped his pro-fighting stance against the empire (he doesn’t want others to suffer the same fate he did, albeit under an even more brutal/tyrannical regime)

The clones integrity and honor system wasn’t a result of their wartime experiences together Jango and the Cuy’val Dar TRAINED and INDOCTRINATED the clones to see each other as brothers This training and indoctrination is what set the clones apart as a galactic fighting force, THAT is why they SURVIVED their wartime experiences in the FIRST PLACE Jus sayin 🤦🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️👍🏻

Imagine theory does a 'what if' fan fiction on if wilco managed to somehow avoid being shot. What the galaxy would be like without rampart ruining everybody's lives in the far future as we see as the story progresses.

I just wonder now if the pilot saw everything go down there with Rampart shooting the clone. I mean it's not very smart of Rampart to do it infront of the ship where the pilot can clearly see them both. Would be funny tho if the pilot now spread the word to everyone about the truth of Captain Wilco's death and see the gossip when he walks past clones. (Also Wilco reminds me of Rex, so him dying there will def raise questions as his last encounter was with Rampart before his death) One other point is that they went stun mode the whole time and then we see Wrecker just start blasting everyone with that tank gun. Also rip pilot who got shot down 😂

It's was a great Season 2 premier of The Bad Batch both Episodes 1 & 2. The death of Captain Wilco was a shocker and a great way to end the episode but I think it will have long lasting consequences on the relationship between the Clone Armies and the Empire that will most likely lead to Civil War.

Nice breakdown. I enjoyed the extra screentime Tech and Echo got, especially Tech.

One thing I noticed was when the Bad Batch sneaks onto the airfield, you hear the troopers communicating and using the CT call sign, immediately identifying them as clones and not the conscripts who would largely use the TK call sign.

So glad we have Star Wars content again!

I wonder if Wrecker will keep his new toy as a secondary weapon or will throw it away.

While I liked the episode, there were alot of missed opportunities for Easter eggs and lore going to Serrano.

I've hoped Hondo would show up in Mando, tho that is quite far from the last time we knew he was alive. I'd love to see him again in this era. He's exactly the type of character they'd run across. I wonder if they'll avoid him tho, bc the crew dynamic with Omeeeega is so similar to that of Ezra. I don't think Dave would let a situation where Omega trusts him and the BB doesn't. He'd have to come in thru a different avenue. If Sid sent them on a job where he was on the other side and more of a villian, I think that'd be really fun. Revisiting his origins. Or they're competing for the same score and Hondo is always 2 steps ahead. I think that'd tempt writers to write a double cross plot like we've come to expect from Hondo. Instead of that kind of "team up" that happened so often in Rebels, it'd be hilarious if Hondo was just ahead of them the entire adventure and the kept popping into the messes he leaves behind... The meet a crew he just screwed over, jump into a space battle he just escaped from, etc. The Batch fails the job, we get a glimpse of Hondo, and he's established as a competitor to watch out for in the future.... Idk. I'm just spit balling. I want Hondo, but don't want a fan service Hondo... Just like he was different in Rebels vs Clone Wars, he should only be used if we get to see another side of his char and development. In the mean time, you clearly love Hondo! I would love to watch you interview Jim Cummings about his career and Star Wars experience! He says in interviews that he loves the character. I bet he'd we willing to sit down with you!

I think it's also important to mention that Hunter pointed out that Wrecker messed up the first mission, and it annoyed him. Wrecker is then the one that is spotted by Wilco by the tanks. I think at some point, Hunter is going to call Wrecker out for always messing up their missions. Maybe it won't happen, but it would be cool to see that confrontation

Did anyone else notice that the Az droid that introduces himself reads the same numbers as the droid that helped Fives in season Six

If you go to season six of the clone wars episode two: Conspiracy at the time of 8:10. And then go to bad batch season two time stamp 4:10 the road says the same numbers as before, until Wrecker interrupts him.
