been a hot minute since ive posted phew

i started this animatic back in like,, august last year so please excuse the sudden style change halfway through-
also i took inspiration from a lot of other sara berry animatics on youtube which is why this feels cheap hhhh anyway hope you enjoy :)

Definitely. Yet, he gets away with what he did to Sara (and in this video her mother). He's the true villain of the piece - a normal dad wouldn't be pushing his daughter (or wife) that badly. He's a narc. Period.

My favorite part about this is that you can clearly get Sara’s side of things And you manage to do that without painting Julie as the bad guy or manipulative. You see how Sara feels about this and Julie yet still Julie seems like a kind girl and I love it

It was an interesting idea as to why Sara's mom is never seen. SHE also went mad and had to be committed, only to die later on. The cell was never changed from the designation, only to be filled by her daughter years later.

@@seamusgormanclone2832 If you look when they put Sara in the cell, theres a nameplate with Sara’s surname but a different first name, implied to be her mother’s cell since shes Saras’s only known family member who was institutionalized

This is the best Ballad of Sara Berry video yet! It's originality is completely amazing! Not only do we actually see the boyfriend & Julie Jenkins having a bit of reaction with the boyfriend looking guilty, but we also see that Sara Berry has the same room in the asylum that another relative have.

@@itsnicsalad It's fabulous. I really liked the scene where Sara literally decided to kill while actually at the prom. Also, it looks like the boyfriend might have still loved her & Sara still loved him, or at least obsessed with him.

I know you said you got inspiration from other animatics but this seems completely unique to me! Like the chorus going in and out of being in view, how she poisons the first girl, the regret the boyfriend seems to have, even where she has her mental breakdown is different and I love it! Great job and I hope you keep making animatics!

This is actually very good. You really put Sara in the spotlight, especially when she decided to snap. I also like the look on her boyfriends face; It screams "Where did I go wrong?" All in all, good work. Do keep it up. Thank you!

okay, but seriously?? this is amazing take on the song. i've never seen an animatic that had the breakdown AT the school-- it's always been at her home. tho, i'm sure using the janitor cleaning supplies would have been a better idea. hand soap would need lots to be ingested to kill and you would deeeefinitly taste the soap in that case, haha. i can't believe after going through a good chunk of 'bosb' animatics that there was one i didn't watch! talk abt a new fave. amazing job!

oh god this is awesome!!!!❤❤❤💖💖💖💗💗 I liked the plot of this animatic so much, because there is no villain here in the form of Julie or Sara, everything is a victim in its own way. And I also liked the moment when her friends turned away from her, and Julie even felt sorry for Sara, because she didn’t want it to turn out this way. Only after that Sara goes crazy, but all the same, there remains a grain of humanity in her eyes. I usually do not write comments, but this animatic hooked me with the whole idea💖💖

weird thought- what if saras father set this all up on purpose, say hes a psychiatrist and he did cruel experiments with lola (think SAW but not actual traps, just mental trauma) and when she died in the ward, he moved on to a new experiment with sara lol idk why i thought of it... i just did

I love animatics for this one, seeing all the different takes on this story. I kinda like that this one keeps her in control until she actually gets there. Most just have her break when her boyfriend texts her, so it's a bit refreshing, and even having her grab the soap dispenser and using it as makeshift poison was a nice touch. And I REALLY love the implied backstory about Sara's mother being committed before her. That was a very interesting idea I would've never thought of.

This animatic is so cool ,, I love how you put small transitions in the beginning and put the lyrics in the background, really adds the rhythm and vibe . Really cool and unique that you made Sara plan the murders at the time of the prom which added tension, because other animatics mostly show her planning it before going to the prom . Also, interesting that you interpreted Sara’s mother as someone who was psychotic as well and how you hinted it in the picture and at the end . Awesome animatic!

I know this is one year old, and idk if anyone pointed that out already, but at 1:13 you can see a glitch of Sarah's mom wrapped with something, just like Sarah is when she is sent to the mental hospital. And at 4:50, you can see the name "Lola Berry" being replaced with "Sarah Berry". Right after that, you can see half of Sarah's father face, kinda seems like he is dissapointed or something. What if Sarah's mom also lost her mind due her husband's aka Sarah's dad pressure, and also got sent to a mental hospital?

Im mostly blaming Sara's dad for all this, but i still think Sara's boyfriend was a jerk. Sure I get being hurt from being pushed away, but going to prom with Julie of all ppl! Nah that's some deliberate emotional damage.He knows full well how much sara wanted to win prom queen and Julie was her only competor. Either he was superficial to or he really wanted to hurt sara. Still really liked this take though especially the mom part that was both wow and sad
