A very moving and sad song. A shame it's so true. The first Hearty Boys song I heard. The video clips are fantastic. I have always supported Ireland's unification, and would love to be there when it happens. 😁

I'm from Derry. But the way I look at Irish history is that it has its fair share of idealists but perhaps more than its fair share of traito r s, informants and gombeen. men of all persuasions up to the present day. So before anyone goes off on the patriotic twaddle - it would be best to look out what the company is you're in.

@@avakelly5138 I said ask the English. Are you talking about the Norman invasion of Ireland, the Ulster-Scots plantation or the Dutch king William. Or does England just fit a historical narrative of yours. You may well be surprised how little appetite for Scotland or Northern Ireland exists in England outside of a diminishing ‘unionist’ population. Scotland may well be independent by now if it was open to English public opinion.
