Hello all and welcome back to my channel. Today's video is dedicated to giving the yard a HUGE tidy up and sorting out my rather large collection of rugs. A massive thank you to Cater-Kwik for providing the Cater Wash washing machine for this video, it certainly wouldn't have been doable without.

You should definitely do a Yard Glow Up video in the Spring. Take everything out and hot pressure wash the entire yard, including the roof. We do all of ours every year and it so satisfying and a makes a HUGE difference :)

Oh my! It's been just a wall of variations of brown for so long!!! That blue plaid though! I don't blame Dee for wearing it as jammies now that it's all nice and new looking!! I have 1 winter blanket, 1 rain sheet, and 1 fleece and I find those are hard enough to keep up with! I also only have one horse so that helps, when he's not tearing them apart anyway lol

Hi Meg!! Try some peppermint oil around your rugs. Spiders hate the peppermint. It acts as a natural insecticide. Just put it on the walls and ledges behind and around the rugs. Helps keep little crawlies away. Plus it makes the barn smell good!!!

You should see the yard I ride at. Mice everywhere, ducks running around, old baths as drinking troughs (the horses refuse to drink from anything else). The guy that runs the yard is very casual, if you loose a head collar he’ll grab a random one and a random lead rope and somehow it always fits! Definitely organised mess

Very inspiring; I've got my wee little hay monsters in the house (bunnies, one who sometimes gathers hay in his mouth and literally takes it all over) so every day is vacuuming and cleaning and trying to figure out ways to make all their STUFF look less of a mess!

My favorite way to wash rugs/ blankets is to take them to a cheap do it yourself car wash and just spray em down really nice and then get as much water out and line or machine dry. also you can use a power washer and soap

I'm only halfway through the video, but so far, very impressed with your barn and washing machine. Word of suggestion: put your detergent in an old detergent bottle, but mark it clearly as to what it is. This way, you can more easily measure out the liquid without it spilling or running down the huge jug. Either that, or find a pump to be able to measure the liquid. 😉 Can't wait to finish the video. Looks as if y'all did a great job and had fun!
