The decline in morality isn't directly related to the decline is religiosity. I myself am not religious but utterly appalled by what we are bombarded with. It is wholly deliberate and it is top down. Anyone working in a corporate environment is only too aware.

I think the decline in morality is directly connected to a lack of belief in the Creator. Even from a logical, material, psychological point of view the concept of the spiritual effects morality more than anything else

@@standout_deviations Sorry I don't see it that way. I think it is a mistake to suggest that morality came after teachings that there was some creator, whether that is institutional religion or more paganistic. I think that's back to front. Religion is more a codification of what was considered good/bad. After all, it's good to get along. Reciprocity can be a powerful tool. As long as it's within your tribe. The outsiders were usually treated very badly. That's not to say that behaviour wasn't further optimized through religious teaching.

@guser7137 fair enough. The old top-down or bottom-up conundrum is a very old question. I completely thought the way you do for a long time but i think that if people are completely honest and persistent they eventually come to the logical conclusion that Truth is a person and not a concept

@@standout_deviations I can agree with that. Collaboration is a major reason humans thrived. With complex language comes the ability to make agreements. If you can communicate the benefits of treating each other a particular way, you can start to build what is considered morality. I won't come in to you village and canola your women, and you agree not to do the same. Then from there it is possible to build a mutual relationship including things such as barter. Trust can be developed. You don't need the threat of a forever in purgatory or hell to prevent 'bad' behaviour. There will always be outliers, for example cannibalism was not the norm in most civilizations.

I have a discussion planned with a guy who watches the stream. He is a Catholic with a degree in philosophy and religion but he did deep study into Islam and wants to discuss Islam with me. I have a few religious experts who watch my stream. Maybe I can find one to discuss the old testament/Talmud. What would you like to see covered?

I let my tv go in about 2014, just couldn’t stomach the dumbed down bs. But I would say following Trump’s campaign and subsequent election really woke me up to what’s going on. I remember many of the channels I was watching on KZfaq that supported him, including Stephan Molyneux, were all taken down in one night - that was a shocker for me…..and I watched the shit show unfold. Nobody around me got it at all, they hated him with a passion - as a Christian the visceral hatred, that was so irrational, made me think that dark forces were at work.

Great, enjoyed. I listen to john all the time, was just listening to him on the james collins channel earlier before yours. I'm now subscribed to your channel. On tom Sheridan, i have listened to him mostly during the c 19. On 1 of his videos he was talking about protesters out in dublin, one of the people at it was a Catholic and was holding up a picture of christ, well the foul language Sheridan said about him was shocking, so I switched him off. I came across another video of him with john and i think 2 other people on it, and again sheridan this time called our Lord Jesus Christ an absolutely awful name. So i will never listening to him again, as I'm a practising Catholic, it pains me to hear what comes out of his mouth. Anyway just want to thank you and I hope you don't mind me saying how good looking you are and I wish you great success in your future.

I haven't heard the particular examples you refer to! I do tend to raise my eyes or even switch him off once he gets going on "the abrahamics." He sorta loses the run of himself. In my mind it's his Achilles heel and caused by the time and place he grew up. I do think he's great at "reading the room" in terms of the mood of the nation. I love seeing him frame reality through his pagan lense too. He can be quite entertaining. Thank you very much for the compliment 😳 and well wishes! 😅

Sheridan is Jewish! Also I wonder if he’s in the Masons. I watched several of his videos couple of years back and it was a relentless critique of Christianity. I’m not going to stand up first to defend it but it was over the top……..it felt like an agenda to me. I suggested he do a critique of other religions like Islam or Judaism…..he told me to get off his channel. Another time when the jibjab was being rolled out he said that the Irish were giving it to their children because they didn’t care. He actually said that the Irish didn’t love their children. He is working on demoralizing …….that is my two cents…I could be wrong…….he also likes mass immigration…….they…his group are never comfortable in homogeneous societies. So my take…..he is interesting though. But I wouldn’t trust him….no way…
