When teaching for a business/church/organization, one tip for the AED trainer (if yours has this option) is to try to find out what model AED they have and then set your trainer to manual or automatic shock mode to match what their AED(s) have. Even better is to have an AED trainer for their brand/model, but that can quickly get pricey, even with used ones on eBay. Even if it’s not an option, you can still usually get permission to open theirs to familiarize them with the specifics of their model(s), as well as show them how to check its status, which is good to know. And most AED manufacturers have good KZfaq videos on operation and maintenance of the unit that you can share with them via email or in-class viewing. It’s usually well appreciated and gets some extra brownie points for the instructor to personalize it like this, while still teaching basic differences in other brands/models they might run across somewhere else.
