Just curious. If I decide to truck camp in Martin Head area, how close can I get with a F-150 4x4? I I’ve in Fredericton area. No lift kit or scratches required would be good😉

I keep saying 1 of these days I'll go atv camping. I have everything needed to do it. Including a hot tent and stove that's never been used. Mainly cuz in the summer I use the truck bed tent and use that for a home base. Then ride about 60 miles around it. In the winter I love camping but only with the trailer cuz that diesel heater makes it like I never left home. I ride all day then have a comfortable place to eat an sleep.

Hey man ! yeah you should try it out for sure, it's a lot of fun and feels different from Car camping. Saying that, coming back to a full size bed and diesel heater also sounds nice hahaha as long as you're out there enjoying it, thats all that matters.

Just purchased, from Amazon, the Agawa Boreal24 saw. Had a smaller cheaper bare aluminum folding saw before that limited, beyond needs, size of stick you could cut. This Boreal24 rocks! Thanks for the insight buddy.

Appreciate this one Buddy! Showing each piece of gear by name and brand makes it easier to check out online. A lot of the gear I have acquired is due to it being tried, tested and true by yourself. Love the Agawa saw and Fiskars hatchet. Going to have to check out the cot..I hate sleeping on the ground! 😉😎

Hey man ! yeah sometimes I over pack haha but honestly I've been slowly cutting back, but it's hard when you dont want to eat like Ramen noodles, be comfortable, have some beers, plus filming and my dog haha

Hey Maritimer, I bought my FEActive cot after watching 1 of your videos and I love it. You are a great ambassador for our province. My stomping grounds are more in York and Carleton Counties but I'd love to get down and check out some of the Sussex and Salisbury areas after seeing it on your channel. I love to do the overnight atv camp and fish thing and I've just started trying my hand at video and youtube so you are one of my teachers,lol.

Hey Buddy ! Yeah the Agawa canyon boreal 21 is a nice little saw, they make a model bigger and smaller than the on I have,.

Im looking at doing the NL cross province run next summer. Gotta check it off my bucket list before i have to start learning Russian or Chinese i guess. I took note of that little inflatable pillow and the cot. My back can't handle being direct on the ground anymore. Come Sept 17th, the COHVC club here in NS will be hosting the BABS memmorial run in southapmton that i'll be going to. You are welcome to come along with myself and Bruce if you can make it.

A lot of nice gear to make it comfortable while enjoying the outdoors. When I tent camped, I preferred a higher cot; nice to use it as a chair inside the tent, and it also made it easier to get dressed in the morning. Enjoyed the video and a good topic to discuss... since camping needs will change with weather forecasts and environment locations (summer/winter/beach/forest, etc.). Cheers! Pete - KI7LIL

@@Maritimer Any cot is better than a flat air mattress in the morning! Ask me how I know lol. Yep, taller cot needs a taller tent, which means bigger gear to pack. All good things for everyone to consider putting together their camping plans and purchases.

Top advice, and youll thank me for it later is, when going into the sleeping bag, strip down to your boxer (or panties).. Youll sleep a hell lot better without all those "layers on".. If it gets cold, upgrade your sleepingsystem.. Ive been out with a Mammuth & the norwegian "Jervenduken" in minus 16 deg cels, and i wake up and have to vent.. 🤷‍♂️

Hey ! thanks man ! I always wear my red panties to bed when camping hahaha My sleep system when put together is supposed to be good for -30, but I don't think I'd be very comfortable haha how much did your sleeping bag cost? I notice those down filled ones can be pricey !

Hey Pat, it's my favourite tent, I really really like it, build quality is so nice !! BUT I have an older model and from what I've seen, I dont think the newer ones are built as good. Do you follow Justin Barbour on YT? he's a great guy, over in NFLD and goes on like 60+ day trips, alone and he has had the old and new model, so he could probably answer better than me.

Just seems excessive to bring a cot on an ATV trip. You forgot to show all that luggage packed on the Grizzly and if there's room for Wendel.

Noway man, the cot is amazing, it breaks all down and packs into a small bag, helps ya get a good sleep. This trip there was no room for Wendell, he ran down to the beach, it was a super slow, technical trail so we weren't going fast. You should check out the full video, it was an awesome trail and camp spot.
