I’ve always loved these vids because they assume you know the basics, and explain advanced concepts very clearly an concisely. Now Jens is hitting the basics… To those not understanding what they’re seeing, he just explained first semester music theory (minus concepts of 18th Century voice leading a jazz player doesn’t use) in just under 13 minutes. Thank you.

My mind is so totally not being blown by this. Whenever I hear that Major/minor axis shift, I hear the makings of a classical progression. Adding the diminished in contrast is only lending itself to more sonic exploration. I hear many notes weaving complex chordal harmony even within monophony. It is a great thing when you can write single note lines that don't justify any other notation entities. Except maybe double etc octives.
