Thank you Sir. You have cleared out such a huge misconception in my head. This whole time I thought the status was the same thing as a Visa. But now I know that my visitor visa is still valid for 4 more years while my status is to expire later this month. This makes applying for change of status from B2 to F1 much easier. Now I get the questions they ask on the online application.

Hey Arthur I really need your help I’m with my family on a L2 looking to do a Cos to F1 was wondering if you can still remain in the country if the L2 expire and the F1 has been filed.

I have a question: If I entered on a B2 visa and got B2 status at the POE. Later I enroll in a masters program for which I get my status changed to F1. My F1 status is gone when when I go back home to visit family during the next summer but the B2 visa in my passport is still valid for another few years. Do I still need to get an F1 visa at the consulate for returning to the USA as a student? or can I return on my old B2 and continue with my F1 status?

Very good video. Is it possibly to have a company start applying on your behalf for an H1B visa while you are outside of the US or is that not doable? If my F1 visa is valid until 2020, but I am not on OPT during winter 2019, when the preparation for H1B applications is, is it possible to apply for H1B and then go to a consulate in the home country to get H1B visa if approved ?
