Күн бұрынHi my friends! Today we are rebooting my basics series! Basic vegan dishes I think everyone should know. We are starting it off with this incredible homemade vegan pizza. I will show you how to make the dough and vegan mozzarella.

INGREDIENTS
Dough
3 cups flour (360g)
1 packet of yeast
1 tbsp sugar
1 1/2 tbsp olive oil
1 cup warm water
1/2 tsp salt
Vegan Cheese
1/2 cauliflower (375g)
3.5 tbsp tapioca flour
1 tbsp nutritional yeast
2 tsp salt
1/2-1 cup non-dairy milk, unsweetened and no flavor (I used 3/4 cup)
Pizza Sauce
3/4 cup tomato sauce
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp parsley
1/4 oregano
A pinch red pepper flakes

Hi I’m seeing a lot of people ask if the tapioca flour is necessary and it really is that is what gives the cheese it’s stretch. Some people have made it with arrowroot flour apparently but it won’t be stretchy and gooey like the tapioca flour. ONLY USE TAPIOCA FLOUR IF YOU WANT IT TO BE LIKE THIS NO SUBSTITUTIONS :)

Hi people, just to let you know, I tried the cheese recipe last night and it was MIND BLOWING. This is the only recipe I'm going to use for pizza cheese from now on. IT IS AMAZING. You can't smell or taste the cauliflower at all, and it's so easy!! Making pizza again today because I am obsessed!! I am SHOOK

And you are not using vegan cheese that is now owned by an animal torturing big pharma firm. I will not give the free ad time, but if you do a search you should be able to find it. BTW, cashew Cambert is vegan cheese too. I should try that sometime.

I made it last night. I posted it on Instagram and fb. My Instagram page is Tundla. The cheese sauce: I was a little concerned about the slightly chalky texture before I put it on the pizza. BUT when it came out and we ate it, it was soooo good. Creamy, gooey and browned like cheese! I made gf pizzas and my own tomato sauce. This recipe is great. Simple. Fail prood. Tasty! Really the best pizza you could want! Thankyou so much for the recipe and great video. Makes the world of difference watching someone actually make it. I tagged you in both my posts. Definitely using this cheese sauce again. It would be great in macaroni cheese or anything you want to be cheesy!

I just made the vegan cheese for the pizza and it is amazing! I miss cheese and this is the best one I have had so far that does not use coconut oil or any oil! Thank you Plantfully Based! I agree that the tapioca is necessary.

Sifting also adds air so the dough is lighter and smoother and covering the dough with a damp towel also helps the dough to not dry out 💖

I’ve been looking at this video for months and I was extremely skeptical. I finally made it and it’s pretty good. I would 100% make it again, especially since it’s unprocessed and doesn’t contain the additional calories nut cheeses contain.

I have been wanting to make this recipe forever. I finally just found some tapioca flour and made it tonight and my whole family loved it! My anti-veggie daughter even loved it and never would have guessed that the cheese is made of cauliflower. With a few nut allergies in my family, I'm always appreciative of creamy recipes that don't include nuts. Can't wait to buy your cookbook!

I'm not vegan, but I am lactose intolerant and even lactose free milk has caused me issues, especially with skin breakouts, so I've decided to give up all dairy products entirely. I'm very interested in trying this recipe now.

This recipe is amazing. I use it for other vegan dishes that require some sort of creamy cheese base like broccoli cheddar casserole. I definitely recommend for any pasta.

Hi yay that’s awesome! I haven’t had real cheese in 3 and a half years so my memory of how cheese tastes has faded a bit. But I have given this to non-vegans who eat cheese and they like it. This has also become a lot of people’s go to for their vegan cheese. I think if you’re just starting out as a vegan this won’t taste like cheese to you but it is creamy and salty. It’s definitely worth a try it’s very easy to make and a lot of people have enjoyed it. Hope that helps ❤️

@@simplysandyj7769 I haven't tried her method but as a former cheese fanatic if you want more of an actual cheese taste i'd say go towards a homemade cashew cheese. You could also use the more processed options like follow your heart, miyoko, etc. I haven't tried it yet but i might try a mixture of follow your heart pizzeria blend, and cashew cheese with nutritional yeast. In my opinion cashew cheese tastes the closest to actual cheese to me. This isn't to take away from her method I'd say play around with multiple options good luck. I've been vegan for 4 years but I ate cows milk cheese a lot.

@@PlantifullyBased I did! I let my family try it and I asked them if they could guess the secret ingredient, they said “mozzarella?” 😂 my grandma even said it was the best pizza she’s had that was homemade! Everyone was so shocked that it was dairy free!

I just made your cauliflower cheese recipe to put on my pizza and topped it with mushrooms, olives and spinach and it was soooo good! I am honestly really surprised. I love cauliflower in general so I knew it would at least taste okay but I wasn’t expecting it to really taste like cheese. I should add that I added half a tsp of lactic acid but it was quite cheesy on its own already. The texture isn’t the same as real cheese of course but the creaminess of it made it really unique in a good way. I loved it and I love how way less calories dense it is and healthy. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe. ☺️

It is sooo easy to make it from scratch! I used to always be so scared to do it but now I make it from scratch all the time and it’s so much better! Also if you have a stand mixer with a dough attachment you can make it in there and it’s even less work! Let me know how it goes ❤️

This is the real deal guys!! I don't think any vegan cheese can come this close and even fool non vegans with it's taste and texture. I was a skeptic non vegan until I tried this in desperation for my son who is allergic to dairy. Please try this, you don't need any other recipe for pizza cheese. Also,thank you for the pizza sauce hack. I was about to waste time making it from scratch. But your combination was spot on. Together the flavors of the tomato sauce and cheese are a match made in heaven!! And I added toppings of sauteed onion, mushrooms and olives. Took it to the next level. Lol.Your really doing a service to all of us.Much love ❤

FINALLY! The cheese comes after the sauce! Most KZfaq vegans put the sauce first, toppings second, and then the cheese, last. I am SO grateful for this pizza recipe 🍕
