Many of us in society feel that bedroom preferences, etc., should not be a factor in hiring, firing, etc. Some communities haven't gotten the memo and continue to bully people who live different bedroom lifestyles. Whether a person is a janitor, lawyer, accountant, visual artist, or computer scientist, said person's gender, sexual orientation, or sexual bedroom techniques should not factor into hiring, job description, etc. The world is going mad.

I think the best way to respond to those people is to point out and ask why they are so sex obsessed that they feel like they can control how others do it. That demographic is typically conservative and all about "freedom," so pointing out they are sex obsessed - which they are - can be a shock and something they really can't deny. Unless they just suppress it and keep moving forward, which is what typically happens.

@@Icien1 I agree. I am hetero but don't go out holding a flag, nor arguing with people and telling them what type of zex I have with my mate. Many alphabet folks are really bullying everyone else. Keep your bedroom activities to yourself. It's unprofessional. We should not be in an accounting firm, or marketing firm and you bring up their tongue and bed action. That's really weird and unprofessional. They should be sued for zexual harassment.

My dad‘s homophobic so it’s not safe for me to come out as bi. I wear my flag every day just not in the way you think I’ve got my flag colours plaited into a bracelet that I wear every day. I’m hoping to get an actual flag soon I asked my friend if they can get one for me

I hope you and your father find some kind of safe way to resolve any conflict. If he really loves you, then he may put his beliefs aside for you, but please remember that you are who you are at the end of the day and no one else can decide who you are. 💙

Here’s some more genders that I know the basic meaning of: *Non-Binary* Describes someone who doesn’t specifically identify as male or female. *Bigender* Describes someone who identifies with 2 genders. *Trigender* Describes someone who identifies with 3 genders. *Genderfluid* Describes someone who’s gender identity changes with time *Agender* Describes someone who does not identify as any gender. *Demigender* Describes someone who partly identifies as one gender. There is Demi-Boy and Demi-Girl. *Pangender* Describes someone who identifies as many or all genders. Tell me if I made any mistakes, I will fix them as soon as I get the reply 👍

Id like to add that Bisexual actually means being attracted to "more than one" gender. Not exclusively just two. It's different from pansexual because a pansexual person doesn't consider gender much, or at all, when it comes to attraction. I love your videos keep it on professor pride!!! ✊✊✊❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎

Glad you enjoyed. Trisexual means loving 3 genders. So if bisexual did mean loving 2 or more genders, it would also have to mean 2 or more but less than 3. That said you can personally define the word however you want to but we have to define it by the Websters dictionary definition.

@@PoweredByRainbows I think what they're trying to say is that bisexual is an umbrella term for sexualities that involve multiple genders. It's similar to how non-binary is an umbrella term for non-cisgender genders, even though it's a gender if it's own. Hope this helps! :D

@@ksyuhn Pansexual means you can love someone regardless of gender. Basically it means when you’re looking to date someone, you don’t care what gender they are. Whereas all other sexual orientations, it does matter what gender a person is for you to date them.

A is Asexual, Aromantic, AND Agender. I'm two out of three, but since the A's are so often left out or said to be for "ally" it feels wrong to leave out our other A, even if it doesn't affect me personally.

Yup if you check all three you can call yourself a triple A battery. The plus after the A is supposed to represent it usually, but as you said it's glossed over or downright rewritten with something so insulting I usually go into lecture mode after hearing it. But I'll just leave it as ally means outside the group but friendly hopefully and make an effort to help and/or defend said group.

I feel conflicted. As somebody who is part of the lgbtq community (Panromantic asexual and maybee non binary?), I have a step brother who is 10, and has a habit of mimicking me and his sister’s behaviors and thoughts. He recently identified as pan and now thinks he’s trans, but while I understand that people of any age can identify as something else, he has this habit of identifying as things or saying things because their unique or cool. Like, a while ago his sister, him and I were talking about Harry Potter houses, and retaking Hogwarts house quizzes, and he said he got Hufflepuff (which is my house), when retaking the quiz. Both because neither of us saw him taking the quiz and because we both kind of know him well, we both kind of knew he was still a Gryffindor, and this even more when he revealed he didn’t know what some of the questions meant. Even some of the smaller stuff, like how he’s never done lgbtq research, and said the whole trans thing out of the blue, and I dunno, in the end it doesn’t really matter, but I hope he knows that identifying as something isn’t a choice and that nobody just chooses “hey, being trans would be kinda cool, just for funsies” and that kind of seems like what he’s doing…

A child who mimics an older sibling does it out of respect most of the time. He looks up to you to teach him about the world that your parents won't. So I suggest being that teacher. I don't know if your parents know you're LGBT but I suggest sitting your stepbrother down and making sure he understands that who you are isn't a choice and that he is his person. He might be pansexual and or trans which is perfectly okay. But tell him that he shouldn't be using those labels just because people around him do.

I was genuinely a bit worried because I didn't want to sound transphobic or like I speak for the trans community on what 'makes' a trans person, so I really appreciate you hearing my message and giving advice! I have a feeling you're right and I just wanted to say thank you to you for helping me figure out how I should take it and what I should do ^^

@@critter_core You're welcome. I am not trans myself I'm just a cis demi romantic bisexual male that has made stupid decisions in life. Your step-sibling might see some of those stereotypes they see on TV or across the internet and find that relatable. Being LGBT is different for everyone there is no one way to be bisexual or one way to be pan-romantic asexual. Since he is 10 try teaching him in a manner he can understand. I do not know if he is receiving this information from school but since like, 60-something % of this channel's subscribers are American I'm going to guess y'all live stateside and don't have access to that education in your schools. When I was 10 I had a boyfriend. It was the first sign That I was even more different than I already am. That relationship lasted a year and a half and it ended because of my fear of my dad finding out and not supporting it. I surpassed those emotions and feelings for about a decade. During that decade I said and did things that hurt this community, And now that I am open about who I am I feel like I owe it to this community to not let people end up like me. Had I stood up to my father I probably would have at least kept that friendship. So if my advice can help your stepbrother not become like that then I hope It helps.

@@Geo_TV Yeah, it's not super educated, but he does have friends who are part of the community too, though even then, it probably wouldn't hurt to inform him about some of the different orientations and identities so that he doesn't fall into some of the less than accurate (and you know, sometimes actually offensive) stereotypes too. I really like learning and educating about the lgbtqia+ community so it'll be fun I think :> I'm sorry about whatever happened in your past that resulted in you losing a friendship, but I hope you still remember that everybody is human and everybody makes mistakes and you aren't latching onto those past mistakes. From what I've seen, you seem like a really cool person :0

I don’t like the definition of bi that you give being bi isn’t just being attracted to 2 genders but it can be. I think a better definition is bi is being attracted to 2 or more genders.

Bi is really complicated at this point. I like to identify with bi because I like people in either a "boy way" or "girl way," if that makes any sense. I think society ingrained the concept of gender too deep into my skull, it's hard to see stuff as neutral.

In my opinion, I don't agree with the need to share a flag that represents sexual orientation. However, I'd still treat these people as human beings. They have a right to be whoever they want to be, as long as they're being ethical. I think a movement that fights for all life is what we need as a human race to make us realise that we all have worth and are in this together. I understand that the lgbtq movement isn't there to put their members above everyone else, but I believe any form of separation creates tension and takes us away from the fact that we are all one. I hope one day we can all be included in a global movement.

The most confusing thing to me is it seems like we want to say body, image, and behavior have nothing to do with whether we want to be a man, woman, etc., yet for all intents and purposes reinforce those stereotypical features and behavior when declaring or transitioning. We're implying "this is how a man or women looks and behaves." Also, I'm confused how we confused sex and gender. People with penises and vaginas have been dressing and behaving as we like forever and we never confused our procreation potential. If someone has eggs and wants to procreate, how do they identify someone with sperm? It seems as though we need new words for identifying someone's procreative potential, like "sperm person" or "egg person." It sounds stupid, but sex and gender have no value in identifying someone's ability to potentially procreate.

@@PoweredByRainbows I saw the video and the bible I use isn't the RSV bible it's actually a pretty old bible that was given to me from my grandparents but although I don't know what year it's was made and its also in Spanish but was able to read somthing about men who lie with other men it never said homosexual and I've also been told that only use that term because it's just a modern term that's more easy to understand

@@BenDover-xx9rn the original term in Hebrew translation was closest to young boys, as in condemnation of pedophiles. It was common practice that older men would go out places like whorehouses that had children on display and well... It's sad they didn't think much of women back then to include them but as you know most of it is rather dated and written by old rich people who didn't like change. There are so many changes and some of the additions over time were... Well what do you expect from a bunch of people who wanted to control people through their faith. I'm certainly not Christian but I grew up around multiple faiths and it's not the peoples hope that's corrupt but those who "lead" especially by misinformation. So feel proud if you are made in someones image it's still holy, it's just terrible people who like people who don't like themselves because they are easy to control.

It's very difficult to be agender and trying to find a bathroom to use. Most generally I book it home to go which isn't realistic most of the time. Another solution is have someone I know that's the gender of the sign go with me so I don't have questions asked

Look for "family" or gender neutral bathroom options as single room bathroom stalls. There are more of them showing up nowadays but they can be a challenge to find sometimes.

I think you have made some mistakes: Lesbian actually means non-men attracted/want to date other non-men and gay non-women loving non-women Aromantic means little to no romantic attraction Asexual means little to no sexual attraction

No the homophobia goes back towards Roman Catholic era's of power in European/Western history. And in the Bible the homophobia of the Jewish people was what got Jesus crucified. The history of criminalizing us has happened multiple times over. And still we are not learning. Overpopulations also see the increase of sexual diversity (homosexuality) this also happens in the animal kingdoms. But we detached ourselves so far from nature - nature could not keep us in ballance and check, it can through pandemics at us but with us acting like gods, and our science and medicine - it was useless.

LGBTQ is not a policical group at all. LGBTQ is an acronym standing for many things including lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender. Anyone who is homosexual, no matter their political beliefs, are members of the LGBTQ community. It's like saying you're American or Canadian. No matter if you're democrat or republican, or whatever else, you were born in United States and are therefore American. That's just one example though. LGBTQ does not align perfectly with any party and I know many LGBTQ republicans and democrats. Our community stands up for our rights to live freely, love whom we love, and be our authentic gender - but we are not in any way a political group.

Why is "our" "community" so large? *Because of heteronormativity! Many mistaken the component(spirituality) with the machine(religion) that it's used to build and keep running. Religions(not just Christianity) seem to mostly be just systems of control built from spiritual teachings and historical events, myths, and legends, all put into a religious narrative. Parts are true, and parts are false, and no one religion is completely true, since the individual human perspective only takes in one angle/one understanding of the whole picture around them. So you must look at all individual/cultural/historical/social/scientific/spiritual/religious/etc. perspective there is, to even glimpse more of the whole picture. Slivers needing to be pieced together like pieces of a puzzle. Each perspective a box needing to be opened, and usually only able to be opened from the inside, by talking to the individual, asking questions, communicating with others different from you, yet still so similar. We must become more of a society of discussion, than a society of ignorance and hatred of the different. Why fear and hate our own reflections? Maybe all everything is, is a conscious void dreaming of the infinite possibilities it could be, and every 'living' thing is just a focal point for observing the dream from every angle possible? The soul seems to be the energy and information taken in by the physical body, what many interpret as the spirit, and processed by the brain, into an individual aware consciousness pattern that only grows more aware the more information and energy it takes in/learns. Many fear to grow, because of the magnitude of information and energy that's out there, and afraid of drowning in it, since they struggle to swim.
