he was one of the very first to get the technology and recieved 1st hand information from Garmin. NEVER heard of this guy before livescope in the crappie fishing world.. there are alot of excellent fishers out there that just dont have the time on the water behind a livescope as others do. most folks dont have the luxury to fish almost every day, all day, learning all of the little nuances of livescope.. others had to budget for the upgrade to livescope.. so many are just getting it... you have to put things into context of the situation they are in. do you think its really that unique or special that he saw a crappie suspended in the water column and decided to pitch a jig to it and see what happened? like some kind of great break thru in human reasoning and deduction, like a tesla moment, where he recieved some kind of world changing knowledge from the outer depths of the universe?

I’ve listened to every podcast, multiple times, very thankful to all the guests and Brad, Justin, and Todd for all the great info, all the laughs, and promoting crappie fishing. All you guys are awesome! Last weekend I did my first open water fishing with a guide (Dan L.) and it was really amazing how in-tune you gotta be to achieve success and when you do succeed it is SO rewarding. A lot of what was mentioned in this episode I saw first hand and it’s all great info and it’s the Gods honest truth. Seriously- thank y’all for these episodes that really do help a lot of people catch more fish. It’s appreciated more than y’all will ever know. God bless.

Can you do a podcast and go into more detail about fish identification? I'm a new Livescope owner and I'm wasting to much time on non-crappie. We have a lot White Bass, Wiper, White perch, big shad and catfish in our muddy Kansas and Nebraska lakes. I haven't found any good KZfaq video's on this subject. Thanks for the great content that you share!!!!

I’ve had a new boat ordered from Gator trax for about 7 months and today I finally picked the 122SV monitor with the LVS 34 trans and it will be my first Livescope …have no idea if that was a smart decision ? It was Kent’s suggestion so I took the advise what do y’all think ? Also we will be looking for schooled or fish on structure way more than chasing singles ..I think 🤣

When in search mode, how fast on the trolling motor are you searching for fish? And once you see the fish you want 50 feet out, (I don’t have any brakes or anything, just the trolling motor), do you immediately reverse the trolling motor to try and stop? Coast to it? Thanks and God Bless
@crappieconnection
@crappieconnection Жыл бұрын
Kinda of situational question. Yes your trolling motor for brakes but turning it around can push the prop was towards the fish. That can spook it as well. If you can turn boat in different direction then turn trolling motor to slow down.

Bait decent control.....Using the 1/4 oz and up sinkers and larger jigs, how are you controlling the decent of the fall without it just blowing past the fish. Even with holding the rod up, the weight of the bait and sinker, to me, are still swinging on the "pendulum" and falling so fast that you can see the bubble trails. LOL.In my very limited time having live scope, I've found that I prefer the smaller hair tied jigs (1/32 and 1/16) coupled with a smaller sinker, like a #5 split shot. It seems to help me with better bait control. I can only assume this will change with more experience.

They are explaining about turning the transducer up just 1 more click on your mounting bracket...so that your beam is now pointing slightly up. That way it allows us to see the 'splash' exactly where we casted.

Knocked it out of the park. Get really tired of KZfaq videos with a fancy title and thumbnail showing people just catching crappie. I don’t want to watch someone else catch crappie I want to know the “how” and “why” and “when”…I also don’t need all your secrets, I can learn those on my own, the hard way!!!!
