I was meaning to graduate from bluetooth over-ear headphones (which I absolutely love) to true wireless buds over a month ago but was so afraid of investing on earbuds that look nice, all-hype but are meh in the music department. Based on your review, I ordered the E12 Ultra earbuds to work with my Apple Watch 5 and iPhone 11 Pro Max. When you get the right combo of ear tips, the sound is awesome. I was listening to a shuffled playlist on Apple Music with a rock eq streaming - at a robust volume - through my watch while I was out for a walk. The quality was good, but when a song by The Beach Boys came on (In My Room), I stopped walking and closed my eyes. The spatial feel of the vocals was incredible. Thanks for helping to take me there, El Jefe!

Just bought 2 nos. Awesome!!!!! Music quality, is very good..bass??? , definitely...Mid and highs well balanced with superb clarity.....i use Note 10+, and turned on Dolby Atmos...iIts louder and still clear. Worth every cent of it. Calls wise...seamless and super clear.... Love these earbuds! Thanks , EJ for the reviews. Part of the reasons I gotten these Sabbats!!!!! Appreciate bunch!!!

El Jefe, awesome review as always. Two questions: Are they comfortable for a couple hours of use? And obviously these have great bass, but when listening to country, acoustic, or light electronic songs, do they still sound good or does the bass overpower when there is essentially no bass? Thanks!

1. I get some fatigue at about 90 minutes. But that's due to the shape of my outer ear. 2. The bass is strong. Might bleed a bit into the midrange with certain tracks. They still sound very good though.

The call quality from the built in mics in the Ultra are better if you ask me. I've been using the standard E12 and sometimes when using it for phone calls, the person on the other side says that they can barely hear me.

Woo Hoo thanks, been waiting for this review 😉 Having got the E12's I cannot wait to get the Ultra's should get them in about 3 to 4 weeks. You know I'm a huge fan of the Sabbat E12"s and with all the upgrades on the Ultra's I'm excited. One thing that is a massive improvement is the call quality indoor and out, and to be honest I have never had an issue with the call quality on the E12's, so super excited from that point of view, from your testing and what I can hear it's even better on the Ultra's. Also cannot wait to hear the sound quality for music which again I thought was great on the E12's. Will be sure to let you know what i think once i receive the Ultra's. Can i use these for insturmental listening (I usually listen to no lyrics (modern instrumental) song and extreme powerful song and some edm) Should i stick with the sabbat e12 ultra or the lypertek tevi to get the best listening experience) Sorry for asking so many questions but it seem to me that finding the right earbuds is very difficult because of my personal reference of music is scattered all over the place. You want an earbud that does everything. THAT DOES NOT EXIST. I suggest you buy both and see which one you prefer then return the other. For classical, rock, and instruments I would go with Lypertek. For Hip Hop, EDM, and "extreme powerful song" I recommend Sabbat e12 Ultra. These are two different flavors. Like Apples and Oranges. One isn't better than the other. They are simply different flavors.

That depends on your ears. But if you are that active I highly suggest you look into earbuds with an ear hook design. Powerbeats Pro, Jlab Jbuds Air Sport, etc.

Thanks for ranking these! An unrelated question please: what are a good pair of buds to lay on a pillow with and that don't hurt your ears. I often use buds and listen to music to help me get to sleep or go back to sleep. 20k, yes!!!! 💪

Tanny N very welcome! These sit very flat in my ears. But I highly discourage sleeping with batteries in your ears. I don’t do it for safety reasons. I would recommend using wired earbuds instead.

Update on the tevis. Dangggggggggggggggggg!!!! Those tevis sound incredible especially for the price. Clean, rich, and crisp is the best way to describe the sound. Also, I have been using amazon music hd for the last day. the sound is on par with tidal and its cheaper.

I use them together with my A&K SR15 player, and those work excellent together, so I am done with looking for TW in ears for now.

Got some pairing issues with this Sabbat E12 ultra, the left bud is blinking white. It does turn on and off, but it does not pair (both buds) when it's removed from the case. It's weird but resetting wont help either. If you have discovered any solution please share :(

1more is still the best ❤ but I believe the e12 ultra is just close behind. Additionally, the wireless charging support is a plus for the e12 ultra over the 1more. Both are recommended 👍👍

Agreed. They all have their strengths and weaknesses. It really all comes down to what you need on an individual level.

Yeah, though I pinged 1more on Facebook and they said, "Appreciate the feedback! We are implementing USB-C and IP ratings into our future true wireless models. Big announcements coming soon 😎". These definitely seem great for the price too, though. A lot of good options these days. If I didn't have the 1more already they'd be on my short list.

As I said earlier, I bought these after your review, which convinced me to upgrade from the basic E12's. They came yesterday. All I can say is they are in another league compared to the basic E12's! Bass is more tight (less bleed to the mids), there are now good mids and on top of all they improved a lot on clarity, which was a thing that annoyed me in the basic model. The Ultra model is just on another level compared to the basic model and I'm sooo happy I did the upgrade. Thanks for this great review and keep up the good work :)

That all depends on your ears. The right one stays put for me. The left one can come loose on occasion. But that’s due to my ear shape.

Hi El Jefe! Just bought these buds after I lost my last one! The ultras came out at the right moment! just wondering; 1) What's the difference with the red vs the green buds? Is the red one more bassier? 2) My volume control won't work in my Huawei Mate 20. Do you actually see the volume go up and down on the phone or is it volume isolated in the buds and it has nothing to do with phone volume? Thanks to anyone who answers this! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

1. Color makes no difference. Only difference is whether it is e12 or e12 ultra. 2. Volume control does not show on the phone. Only in the earbud on android phones. Adjust with music playing so you can hear the difference.

The e12 ultra is louder for sure. The 2 are pretty well matched. I feel the tuning is slightly better on the Outlier Air. That said, the e12 gives you better overall value.

Look at details description for brand and warranty. There is plenty of the old model copies on AliExpress for 45 bucks and real Ultras for 55 bucks.

I'm in the same boat man, but you can see the QCC3020 in the product titles, so that should be the Ultra. I'm a bit skeptical tho. Just a bit.

Sound tuning mostly. The 1more just have this richness in the mids that sings to me. Also, slightly more comfortable for my ears as well.

I don’t think you can go wrong with the e2 ultras.Sound quality is my main concern after price,since Inrarely take calls using any of them.

Haven’t had any issues with the codec on my iPhone. No lag, connection issues only happened if there is another pair of earbuds active, and from what I’ve read there is AAC still available. Great review El Jefe! 🖖🏾👽

On aliexpress I found sabbat e12 ultra camouflage (with nice camo colors). In description, it said that it is E12 Ultra QCC3020 model. But then I saw packaging photos, it has written that it is Sabbat e12, but it has aptx logo. So right now I am confused is it Ultra or original E12s?

I did not see one in camo. Qcc3020 and aptX is correct for e12 ultra.

Hey man. Thanks for the informative review. Hoping you can help me, debating between these or the 1more stylish. I've been listening to a lot of tropical, hiphop and rnb nowadays, but I do then to go back to my metal and rock roots, so I'm pretty worried these might be too bass heavy for rock/metal. But at the same time I do love booming bass. What would you recommend?
