This is easily the most accurate depiction of the Batman character in any movie iteration. No movie has ever portrayed him as the world's greatest detective, and that is the essence of who Batman is. If this would have been an action/adventure super hero movie it wouldn't have been unique or special.

I think y'all are expecting something from batman that batman was never really supposed to give. Batman has never been the type of hero that is your ideal hero or someone who is always doing the right thing. Therefore this movie was never supposed to appeal to kid audience. They stuck to his character without caring at all about the image it gives to kids because it was never supposed to be a normal superhero movie. Batman was never really your typical hero character especially in year 2. He has always been a vigilante and they portrayed that perfectly along with his detective side.

They wanted a comic book movie Batman but this was a graphic novel Batman, we got the real Bruce Wayne broken broody trying to find meaning in his life he doesn’t care about nothing but being Batman because it’s to painful to be Bruce he loses himself in the Batman persona. This film allows him to grow and become a better heroic Batman and Bruce Wayne in the next movies.

The funny thing is that you guys don't like Batman you like run of the mil superhero movies because this movie embodies the true essence of what Batman is and it's fine but don't say you like Batman, because you don't like any of the aspects that make batman who he is. I watched it at the theaters at 10am that's a better time for me lol it was amazing in my opinion. I love how Batman looked, I liked how Gotham looked. I loved the score , the cinematography, the lighting. Literally every scene I was waiting for the sun to come out or some brightness but it never came, which is probably what living in gotham is like. That car scene was amazing. At the end of the movie and said that's it? In a good a way because I wanted it to keep going lol it didn't feel like 3 hours to me. I'm looking forward to where the story goes next.

Second, this is Year Two Batman so he’s still extremely angry and has no idea how to use it for good or ill. I like what they did with this version of Riddler because he was more diabolical and devious than what we’ve seen in the past.

Y'all do realize that DC stands for Detective Comics right?(I doubt you even knew that) but the fact that this movie is a dark noir detective film makes it the best Batman movie of all time by default. Don't say you like Batman because you don't even know who Batman is, I doubt you even read the comics because if you did, you wouldn't have any problem with this movie. Explosions every 30 minutes doesn't make a movie awesome, nor does heavy CGI and a joke every 2 minutes of a fight scene. This isn't marvel. And I'm glad the director choose not to do something WB wanted, and that's copying Marvel's formula. Which has gotten old up until Wandavision,Loki and Moonknight.

It's easily in my top 3 Batman movies (Batman Returns, The Dark Knight, and The Batman). I also grew up on Batman movie and the animated series. This is a graphic novel come to life and I've never once read a Batman comic. I loved the psychological aspects and the noir detective story was amazing. The cinematography, the score (you should actually listen to it on Spotify), the cast... I loved it on both watches. It's also important to remember that Batman is the man...Bruce Wayne is the mask. But, to each their own. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I’ve always enjoyed the dark batmen that Ben Affleck and now Robert played. It really shows the difference between a “hero” like Superman where people are excited to see him vs a “vigilante” like Batman where even the good guys are terrified of being around him. Yeah Bruce coulda been done better but then again this is when he’s focused more on being the Bat and hasn’t figured out how to separate and balance his two lives.

Many people didn't like this version of Bruce Wayne, not realizing there is no Bruce Wayne. This movie illustrates that since his parent's murder the child who became the man ceased to exist. Bruce Wayne saw his parents killed and became all about vengeance. The recluse who lived in Wayne Manor was just nobody waiting for night to come so he could put on the black suit and go release his rage. He was The Batman, no one else. That's why viewers said he didn't act any differently. He wasn't different, because there was no Bruce Wayne. Later he'll probably figure out that he needs to pretend to be somebody to better hide his identity. So, he puts on the playboy Bruce Wayne mask to cover up who he really is: The Batman.

Batman blocked his face from that explosion with his hands. It's comments about his face and the explosion that make me wonder if these guys just talk randomly just for the sake of a reaction effect. Batman could talk to her (Selina Kyle) through the ear piece that he gave her btw

There was a reality to this film which I had never felt before in a Batman movie. Not even with the Dark Knight. When I watched this, it was more like watching someone trying to take down Hannibal Lecture. It feels as if heroes like superman and wonder woman shouldn't exist in a world like Gotham and it's fun to think how they could be portrayed in the same setting. Could they keep the reality if there was even a mention of the two heroes? How would these kind of citizens react to heroes they can't explain? So much creative opportunities from this one film!!

I give this movie a B. I liked that he was finally a detective, the film was shot well, smooth fight scenes, different spin on how he gets the criminals in line, and I liked the Riddler's villain plan. I gotta say though I do want the comic book Batman to finally have a movie. The Batman that fights Poison Ivy, Clayface, Killer Croc, is a part of the Justice League, throws a Batarang, has Robin as a side kick and wears grey. We almost had it with Afleck minus the murder spree and irrational hate of aliens. But damn can we just get the Arkham games as movies? Those were perfect. Not too campy, but not too "real world". Just right like the books.
