Hells yeah guys!!! Happy Rob loved it as much as he did too

Rob loving the movie while stressing that it’s not for everyone makes me even more excited for it. I love when artists take big swings. All of Matt Reeves’ movies have a similar tone- dark, moody, and even kinda sad. I don’t expect that to be everyone’s cup of tea, but I think it’s perfect for the Batman character.

I think rob was blown away by WB literally saying to Matt Reeves “here’s one of our most priceless IP’s, go make a great movie”. You don’t see that a lot in today’s cinema

I loved this film. I must be honest, this film lived up to the hype for me! I enjoyed most of the third act. I definitely get why WB wants to spinoff from the GCPD and Penguin series. I will admit, it is long, but I think it will take a second viewing to see what I believe needed to be cut. This is a beautiful film in story and production. Matt Reeves took some big swings and for the most part hit it out of the park several times. I believe it is one of the best comic book movies.

Just saw it. I can’t believe how masterful this movie is. So overwhelmed. Pattinson and Dano are INSANE. I have a few small nitpicks, specifically in the third act and the movie could’ve been shorter, but I still really liked the third act. Just an incredible film.

Seeing this in IMAX was amazing. They’re completely spot on with this one. Warner Bros took a big swing with this one. It’s a truly detective film. The cinematography and score was beautiful. The immediate violence in some scenes catch you off guard, But it’s what you want. The build up was intense. They’re correct in that the ending didn’t match the buildup. It’s not a perfect movie as there are some scenes that are a little odd but overall it is the best Batman movie made. I look forward to the sequel.

just saw it...this is a perfect Batman Detective movie. Go in with that mind set, you will enjoy it more. Kris is right, this did have elements of Seven

You guys nailed what this film is. One thing though, the movie is as long as it needed to be maybe some long shots were taken but when the cinematography and score is this epic the shots must go one. But I get what you mean lol

The Batman movie I've been waiting for for a long time.

Paul Dano was the key for me.. what he did for Riddler is what Heath and Joaquin did for Joker. I do believe it was too long but I enjoyed it overall. The score, the tone.. heavy inspiration from other great films like Seven and Zodiac. Several nods to past Batman comics and graphic novels and even Batman: Arkham games

This group just gets better and better. I did not realize how much I've been waiting for this reaction until I saw it is up and a huge smile appeared on my face.

LOVED IT! I agree, it is too long and the ending doesn't live up to the rest of the film, but Matt Reeves GETS Batman! Really good film, with some room for improvement for a sequel, but damn, this is a great starting point for (hopefully) the Battinson trilogy

It was sooo goood, definitely going to watch it again! As for the run time it honestly felt like 2 hours, because I loved it so much, I'm a Batman fan and it was exactly what I've been waiting for. It's on pare with Dark Knight, for me but now I have expectations that the sequel will no doubt be even more badass! Pattinson was born to be BATMAN! 🦇

Just saw the film summed it brilliantly It’s a great Batman film, and that’s all it needed to be it didn’t have to be better than the dark knight. It’s got it flaws like all movies I personally loved it and thought it was a masterpiece it was a great detective story Visually stunning with thriller and horror elements More importantly I think Batman is in the right hands with Matt reeves

What really tells me I'm in for a awesome movie Sunday is how John passed off the Convo to Rob. Knowing those two love for Batman and Cinema, and how excited John was while still trying to remain critical tells me everything.

I loved it! I admire a movie that gets better as it goes along. It took a short while to get used to the somber, heavy tone, but once I did, I was rivetted throughout the entire 3 hours. I can't call it "great," only because I consider originality to be an essential component for true greatness, and this film, as excellent as it is, explores some of the same territory covered in earlier iterations. Reeves did a wonderful job. An "A-" from me.

I loved it! Didn’t want it to end. This movie would not have been better if it was shorter. What this movie had going for it is that it took its time. And the 3 hours for me felt like an hour. The cinematography pulls you in right away and when then the score leaches onto you and won’t let you go. It was a surreal feeling almost felt like sleep paralysis right away the film hushed the crowd where you couldn’t move and only feel your heartbeat

Rob’s such a Batman homer. In what universe would he have not loved this movie.

Completely agree with Rob! I’ve been speechless, blown away. It’s so easy to get lost in this iteration of Gotham, something I haven’t experience since I was a kid watching the animated series. Enjoyed how mental illness and trauma is portrayed so realistically in the riddler and Batman. Gorgeous cinematography, clever hints and detective writing, easily my favorite batman movie. Can’t wait to see it again, and tune in tomorrow to hear more of everyone’s thoughts! BOTF!!

Just watched it. What an awesome introduction to an even more grounded, young and restless Bruce Wayne. With only two years for young Batman the film is dark, it’s gritty and it’s all about the detective work. This is why we all love Batman, because he has so many layers up on layers to explore. Matt Reeves just revolutionized the Riddler. Paul Dano was amazing, pretty much every cast is amazing. What I really like is that the film shows us how young Batman is scared to even fly off high rise buildings stil, but also throws out his body with no hesitation to enemy bullets, sometimes not being able to control his anger during a fight. He gets shot in the chest, punched in the head and doesn’t give in. But above all it haunts him to see anyone get hurt because he’s still affected by the death of his parents. The cinematography is amazing, and boy the city of Gotham is just on another level. You’ll get scared to even pass by the city let alone live there. Shows the true nature of corruption and political deceives. Reeves created a unique Batman sets just as Nolan’s was different than Tim Burton, as well as for Zack Snyders Batman. Each directors build their own unique elements and universe for the Batman. Perhaps the greatest advantage is that character Batman is so versatile and any director can interpret it based on the excellent comic books written. DC needs to focus on these kind of movies because honestly they’re just perfect. I’m hoping we will get another amazing trilogy if it continues like this. My respects to all the previous and current directors for giving us different types of Batman. I really like all the Batman iterations since 2005. (Baleman, Batfleck. & Battison).
