Actually, there's evidence not all the Sacred Band of Thebes fought till the last man; the Thebans buried the fallen members of the order in a communal cemetery overlooked by a sculpture of a lion (the Lion of Chaeronea which survives to this day), since the lion marked the cemetery of the Sacred Band of Thebes that fell in this battle, it was pretty easy to locate where were the cemetery located and archaeologists found only 254 human skeletons in said area; all ancient sources agree that the Sacred Band of Thebes was made up of 300 men, but yet only 254 remains were found, this suggests that not all fought to the death and some escaped the battle somehow.

Dude Macedonians where Greeks. So don't say the Greeks and the Macedonians, say the Thebans etc and the Macedonians. Also there is no such thing as Greek phalanx. Every state had different phalanx formations. Spartan was different, Athenian was different, Theban was different, Macedonian was different.

A lot of mistakes in this video, Macedonia was just a Greek Kingdom in northern Greece, the Macedonians were northern Greeks and self identified as Greeks. The Greek states of Athens, Macedon and Thebes all vied for control of Greece and Macedon in the end won. Philip of Macedon united all the Greek states of Greece thus uniting Greece into an Imperial Greece with Macedonia as the leading Greek state.
