Nice video. Actually I prefer the book's ending where the final duel takes place in front of everyone, giving Harry the opportunity to reveal to the crowd that Snape was actually a double agent and that he, Harry, had already become the master of the elder wand by winning against Malfoy. So in the books Harry wins not because of power but because of knowledge and that is very impressive.
@peterteddy33672 жыл бұрын
Also, I hate that Voldy floats away in pieces. Wtf? The entire point was that in the end despite all his efforts Voldy died like everyone else. Also, with there being no body, how would they know it was actually over and not just on hiatus for a few years?
@luisec.50412 жыл бұрын
@@peterteddy3367 Exactly. I mean, J, K. Rowling's message was that every human could be good or evil and therefore she let him and also Bellatrix Lestrange die like a human and the movie ruined that.
@christopherpoet4582 жыл бұрын
@@luisec.5041 I don't think it is fair to go so far as to say it was ruined. The film delivers much of the same message, it just does it in its own way. In reference to the Death of Voldemort, I do hear a lot of people often say that the Film Death makes no sense vs The Book and the highlighted point of this is that in the book, his death is a mortal death. The very death Voldemort saught to escape. It is an Ironic death. Suitable for a book. There are two counter-arguments I have in terms of this though. Technically three but the third is more or less for sure 100% a matter of opinion. 1. A Film is an Adaptation ans is never advertised to be a replica or true retelling. This is one that I think escapes people the most but it is also a very opinionated argument and it simply stands that a Film and a Book, even if telling the "same" story, should be teated as their own cannons and respected accordingly. That is unless someone says otherwise, traditionally the author/writer of the material. But lets say for arguments sake., or well the sake of a good discussion, lets toss this out the window lol. 2. Translation. Films and Books are their own respective mediums. They have to approach things differently for a number of resons and this is where my first explination comes. The film takes a visual approach to setting ul his death vs the books direct approach. In either case, you get the same message. Voldemort is dead and he sealed it not through the loss of power, but through his own aragence. The facts from the death in the books still holds in the film. Mouthfoy Disarms Dumbeldor, Harry Disarms Mouthfoy. Snape kills Dumbeldor and in both versions, Voldemort assumes it is a persons death that transfers the wands alegience, not disarming. In both cases, all the Holcruxes are destoryed. In the films, we see them go down one at a time and we witness it in the books. Both establish this and both make a point to solidify the loss of them all will be enough to perminantly kill him. Where they differ is in his death specificlaly. In the books, he has an ironic death and in the films, he peals away from existance. Both deliver the same message but by a different means. But why the change? Medium. The battle in the books was more or less a conversation. It is good, do not get me wrong. But it brings the action to a hault and for a book, this is normal. A film though is driven through action. It thrives on it and is pushed forward because of it. So when you bring the heat of the tension of a bttle to a hault to monolog on the reason Voldemort died after going through 7 films to set up that death... its not the same impact as the book. Now, we can sit here and go "Yes, but I read the book so it would make sense to me" (and for me it would too), but the film is not restrictive to just the book audiance. It also aimed to attract non-HP fans and bring them into the franchise. They can't cator to only half their audance just to appease half the audances expectations. They took a risk wth the change, sure. I bet they had a good debate on it too. But from a simple study of medium, the films retelling is better suited for a film. Better than the books. 3. This is a bit more of my own theory, but, to a degree I think the film makes more sense logically. I wont write an essay here, I am already making a video to discuss it. In short, the reason I think the film does make sense is one simple word; Necromancy. Now, so far, (to my current knowlage of the HP universe) Necromancy (while used) is not very defined. But, i we pull some common trends across fiction involving necromancy, there is an answer that validats his death. Short Answer: His body is not a mortal body but is a temporary hoast to a fragment of his soul, made from magic, and is kept together so long it is housing a soul. To better explain, more often than not, a body or creature born or made from magic is incapable of having a natural death because they are no longer natural in origin. If the common rules of necromancy were to also apply to the HP universe, this fully validates how Vold died. Notice how the snake didn't have a natural death either? In fact, how EVERYTHING that contained a fragment of his soul died in an un-natural way? Harry is probably the odd ball in the list but he technically did not die. Having been host to two souls, one could die and let the other survive and seeing that volds soul was but a fragment and not his whole soul, this would leave the decision completely up to Harry. At least, goining by the film, this is how it is presented. Which, film wise, is fine. Vold creates a body though magic. Body is no longer a natural living body. Ergo, natural death is ruled out. Which bring us to his final moment. The part I find the most interesting about his death in the film is that he does not just die. He is literally pealed away from existance and his body is disolved. Visually, it confirms his death. Just as much as his mortal death in the books does. But... I only see it holding up logicially as long as the usualy go to rules of necromancy are followed. As of this moment, I have no material to confirm or deny the theory but it would work as an explination if it really did need an in-universe explination. Anyway, those are my theories. Enjoy! Feel free to reply if you like.

@@giovehousepictures7256 Two Steps from Hell is a orchestra group formed by someone and Thomas Bergeron. I cant remember the other lads name. Anyway, the reason you can play it on here is because they won't come after you with a copyright claim unless you are selling their music and claiming credit for it. The group is a very well known and established in producing film trailer scores and then they also have albums like these. As long as they get credit for the production and your not trying to rip them off, they are very relaxed in fair use of their music. Which makes videos like this possible.
