The paintings of Stefan Baumann reveal the true spirit of nature by transporting the viewer to distant lands that have gone unseen and undisturbed. With the huge success of Baumann’s weekly PBS television series “The Grand View: America’s National Parks through the Eyes of an Artist,” millions of people witness for themselves the magic Stefan portrays on canvas, his passion for nature, and the American landscape. By distilling his love of nature into a luminous painting of brilliant, saturated color that transcends conventional landscape and wildlife art, Baumann has captured the hearts and imaginations of a generation. Each painting becomes an experience rather than merely a picture - a vivid manifestation of his special and personal union with nature and the outdoor world. Through his mastery of light, color, and artful composition, Baumann invites you to experience nature in its purity. It is no wonder that for many years distinguished American collectors, including former presidents and financial icons, have sought out his work.

Amen! Within 2 minutes, amen...people say, "oh your painting should make YOU happy, don't worry about what other people think/feel." Ohhh that KILLS me. 🤨😵 of course I wanna worry about how it makes YOU feel! Thats why I made it!! Yes, it excites me when it comes together, but I want others to feel it like when I play music...u know, that feeling that makes u gasp softly, and feel an indescribable feeling. THATS what makes it all worthwhile, the biggest compensation

When i paint .I think it is me that is putting my soul on the canvas ? But when i leave it . Then i see something that is not what i though was ? It becomes something telling me is a part of my life that is not in my face today till i look at it ! It is its own life ! and telling something about my life that i need to see ! I will stop now beacuse you will think we or me is out of what the normal !!! is and be frightened that they see you ! Thank You ForYour Help and Time ! Straight Ahaed ! Mikw

just noticed this one .. Hope all is well with you , your wife and horses. I am still painting. Noticed many people are going to TINY HOUSES , hum, many are down sizing, and may be real big might not be bought as often . I do try the down ward stroke with bird feathers. I want to catch, light on a birds chest, top side of the head. I have noticed in other peoples paintings of birds, they did not do this, Makes a big difference. Best get back to work...

I don't paint in public too often but sometimes when people see me painting in public they ask about if I sell my work. I've made a couple of sales that way so I am not afraid of it anymore.

What did you mean by if a brush makes a noise against the canvas? Do you have to paint softer or get a softer brush.
@robertchilders8698
@robertchilders8698 11 ай бұрын
Bob Ross loved to make load noises with his brushes! - slapping, banging noises! The bigger the brushes, the better! Also big pallets and tons of paint! When I learned to paint in details, I was in deep trouble. Art stores loved him!

Your painting looks so hi key and Pastel on the video. Is that how it is or did the lighting flush it out? Just curious.

Yes the camera operator doesn't know what to do with this lighting situation ... but probably a bit pastel too.

You're layering Stefan!! You said that you don't layer the paint with oil paint. So how do you paint with layers in oil when they just smear everywhere?!!!

My greatest break thru came when I painted in "glazes" - like the old masters! Easier to repair and saves a ton of paint. - which paint stores hate! It also dries much faster between sessions!

Even in your new videos, the lighting and camera angle messes up with the quality of painting AlWAYS. Please sir, change your camera/lighting/video editing person please 🙏🙏🙏
