To me, that's the definitive line of the song "Friends." It stuck in my memory from the very first time that I heard this ode to your best friend! Brian was as in control on Friends as he was on Pet Sounds. He produced every song, and wrote every song except Be Still and the Dennis written segments of Little Bird. The 'in bed' period is more like 73-75, but even then he went out clubbing at night.
