When I was 14 I stayed up late watching this with my Dad and thought one day I'm gonna go there. 9 years later I was 23 and after a break-up I took off to Australia for a month and didn't come back for well over a year! The last four I spent exploring South East Asia including a month in Thailand where one night we had a party on "the beach" with this music playing! That was 11yrs ago and yet whenever I hear this music, the nostalgia feeling comes flooding back. You have but one life so make sure you live it!!

Spent 7 weeks backpacking Thailand in the summer of 2000, wedged between the second and third year of Uni. I have vivid memories of taking the night train reading the Beach from Bangkok to Surat Thani. This track reminded me of drinking Sangsom with my legs still dangling from the back of the train (which was still possible back then), Much of my expat life is shaped by that first adventure, Those six weeks have stories to fill a book, let alone the years that have followed, sometimes I feel I should write it, even for my own prosperity and the cathartic nature that comes with spilling your own secrets.

It's not too late. I did it 2003 for 2 years. I still have the travel bug. I was 23 then but I did meet a lot of 40 and 50 year Olds travelling by themselves as well

Мне не понятно, почему это фильм недооценили? Может, потому, что поднимает проблемы, о которых не принято говорить? Есть поговорка - "с глаз долой, из сердца вон." Вот и в фильме тоже самое. Мы не видем, значит проблемы нет.

Sebelum film ini dirilis, saya pernah punya ide serupa. Tapi saya dianggap gila oleh teman-teman saya. Saya tidak habis pikir, ternyata ada orang yg membuat film yang sepemikiran. Saya langsung menyukai film ini karena ide ceritanya sama persis dengan apa yang saya pikirkan sebelumnya. Tapi sangat disayangkan, akhir ceritanya sangat dramatis.

This is something unimaginable. In the 2000s, when this film was released, it seemed like something inaccessible, unearthly. Now that there is an opportunity to visit this place, to imagine yourself as an actor in this film, it is simply breathtaking. Это что-то невообразимое. Titanic was the first movie I ever saw and was cognizant of. The most intense and deepest dream I ever had in my life still to this day featured a woman singing similar to this song in the beginning. The feeling of love, longing, and loss in that dream was larger than life that even as a 4 year old my soul was connected to this universal theme. They dont make movies like this anymore
