Hey everyone! This video is a bit different from my usual where I cut out lots of the "filler" since it was a very long run what with all the waiting for the Hex and all. Don't worry I don't plan to do this with all my videos or anything but I am curious what you think so let me know. Thanks!

The keepsake actually says, "A reward from Selene is likely." So if you _already_ have the hex, it should summon a path of stars, which is why it is perhaps best to wait until Oceanus/Rift of Thessaly to pop the Moon Beam keepsake.

If you "give up" a run that starts with a hex, that order of the hexes is randomized each time.

Please do the pokemon run, with only cat, the hex that respawn enemies and sun worshiper.

I think one of the problems with hexes is that it's very all or nothing: if you're doign a hex build, you're at the mercy of RNG. If you're not doing a hex build, then the hex is just kind of there not doing anything. Calls from Hades one were a bit like this as well, but they had an important advantage: you could throw out a lesser calls and get some use out of it here and there without having to commit your build to calls, or, if you happened to get the setup for it, you could spec into using greater calls. So what I think would work well is if there was a meter coresponding to the phases of the moon tht, as it fills up, allows you to use lesser versions of the hex and then, once it's completely full, you ge the full version of the hex. So with the beam build, if you get the meter a quarter fully, it become s cresent moon and you can throw out a little moonbeam which tracks targets wherever you place it and you can just fire-and-forget the thing like you do with the appropriate path of stars upgrade. If you wait until it's fully, then you get a super kamehameha which, without upgrades, requires Mel to direct it, but does a ton of damage and has way more AOE. (Enough to be a boss-killer, but only when upgraded and synergized with boons. So you could, say, get an upgrade which applies your cast effects to the beam, or is even treated as though it _were_ your cast outright for purposes of things like Aspect of Persephone.) This would provide far more options for rebalancing hexes than trying to fiddle with keepsakes and rewards from encounters which may or may not even appear. The way it's been tweaked right now, it's difficult to get an adequate balance between making the beam do too much damage, but not be accessible because it takes too long to charge and fire, and between making the beam _too_ accessible and just deleting bossess with Selene's wave-motion cannon. With this added flexibility, it's easier to justify extending the charge time _and_ the damage output of the full beam because the the lesser beam is also avalible. Another small tweak that would be necessary would be to rebalance the amount of mana needed to charge the hex so that it applies _across_ encounters instead of resetting each the start of each location, the same as the calls in Hades one.

I think given the nature of the run editing was a smart choice. It was different but thats totally fine.

If you were going to do an edited run this is probably the right one to try it out with, but I hope you keep your unedited formula going forward. Need more grill stories.

Yeah the Path of Stars you got with his Ray was rough - the one that applies the Attack Boon to it and the one that you can set and forget are great - espeically if it comes with pierce.

Hmmmm personally not too fond of the editing unless it said what type of decisions/choices were made before the cut True they may not be super necessary for the hex only run, but it's not something I'd want to see in future videos. If anything!! The whole cuts just shows how this run can improve in game to hopefully make it viable some day!
