My character's backstory:
Jessica Elderwalker, a high elf sorcerer. Born of nobility in the city of Baldur's Gate. The Elderwalkers are known for their draconic bloodline and being a line of powerful sorcerers. Being an only child, Jessica was in a strict household and was expected by her parents to uphold their family name. With the pressures of continuing to bring fame and recognition to her family, Jessica spent her days at court to win the noble's favours.

I like the little detail where characters get bloodier and bloodier depending on how many enemies you have killed before you take a long rest. After I butchered the whole goblin camp Haslin was SOAKING 😅

It's so interesting how much the dialogue changes based on what you've already learned. It really makes each playthrough unique. When Asterion was about to bite me, my character didn't know he was a vampire yet, so only the bottom two options showed up for the first choice. In the first two games, all dialogue was pretty linear, with the choices always being the same in each playthrough. I'm impressed by how much variability there is in this one.

I also let Asterion continue before telling him to stop and the persuasion check increased to 15 for me. My character was getting lightheaded at that point. Pretty sure if I clicked continue one more time I would've died lol

When Shadowheart finds out about the vampire thing, she makes a comment about how we're all turning into monsters anyway because of the parasites, so it doesn't really bother her. Gale is a bit iffy about it, but respects the decision to let Asterion stay

@@MissSarahDonut6 Shadowheart asks Astarion if this is what he expected when joining the group, and he joked about hoping it would be so. He makes a comment about how much blood Tav has which Shadowheart teases him for, and she also tells the guy to not wear out Tav too much because they are still needed. She of course says this via a very suggestive innuendo. I think are variants of it that are randomly generated. I highly recommend looking up a clip. It's hilarious.

I did not stop Astarion (I tried at the last opportunity but failed), and he killed me. So my companions had to use a scroll of revivfy to bring me back. lol

Just a tip about spells: whenever you cast the Charm Person spell (by adding the bonus during the roll, like at 39:54) you are casting a leveled spell, which uses up the same resources as the spells you cast in combat. So that means every time you cast Charm Person in a dialogue check, that's 1 less Magic Missile you can cast later. At your level, you have 4 first-level spell slots, and 2 second-level spell slots, for a total of 6 spell casts between rests.

I don't know if you know this but if the enemy is close enough to strike you and you back out in an attempt to move the character somewhere else you create an 'attack of opportunity for the enemy'. So either make sure they're dead before you move away or outflank 'em. Also I see you met 'Daddy Halsin' the internet's favourite buff elf.😉

Not me desparing seeing you not use sneak attack w/ Astarion every time. I'm sorry, I've been playing D&D for way too long. I understand it's a LOT of info at first, I remember my first games! Rogue is my fav class. But damn I would be lying if I said I didn't feel a twitch while watching haha. I'll be patient tho. Better yet, I'll be helpful! We D&D players need to be kind to each other. Here's the overall rules of sneak attacking for you. Sneak Attacks are rogue's bread and butter and their MAJOR damage source, so use it always: >>>> You can Sneak Attack an enemy (as a melee attack or ranged attack) whenever you have **Advantage** attacking.

Idk if you knew this but holding alt will let you see what you can interact with (such as bodies, items, levers etc.) That’d be easier to find something on the floor

Not sure if you already know, but be careful who you use that Charm on, if its a friendly they may go hostile once it wears off, otherwise, if you intend to kill the target after, doesn't matter much!

Loving these videos! Just a tip since I saw you went down in that last fight with Halsin - if you try to move away from an enemy that's in your face, they get to make an opportunity attack, but if you take the Disengage Action first, they don't. It eats your action, but it's good when you want to get out of dodge safely. As you're a sorcerer, you may also want to consider picking up Misty Step as your next level up - it's a short-range bonus action teleport that can get you out of trouble. Also keep in mind, you can replace old spells with new ones when you level up if you find you aren't getting much use out of them. For example, you could trade out Charm Person for something else if you wanted.

One thing I never liked about the Forgotten Realms: too many evil gods. Pathfinder's Golarion I always felt had a more balanced pantheon.

Yeah, if you take the evil route, Minthara is a companion and is romanceable. You gotta murder a lot of innocents and alienate basically every good aligned party member you have to do that, but I thought about it.

I feel awful watching other people play the goblin camp part everybody is a goddie two shoes. Meanwhile I am roleplaying a dark urge Barbarian maniac and helped kids killed the bear without even knowing it's halsin. And then joined Minthara no questions asked. Edit: Also yes both Minthara and Halsin are companions, I’ve seen some people having them both. Which I guess a very tricky set of circumstances.😅
