Fr. Chris seems like such a Good-time Charlie-he is great, simply brilliant! His Homilies and lectures deliver a wealth of knowledge and his vibe is both humorous and inspirational. I am forever in his debt, as I have learned an enormous amount from him and he has contributed to my exploration and appreciation of our Catholic faith. The amount of research required must be huge and therefore time consuming-where in the world does a busy person like him find the time?! As long as he keeps making videotapes, I will continue to consume them. Be well one and all and buckets of blessings for everyone.

I live less than 50 miles/31km from Canterbury and have visited in the past. The Church I attend on Sundays in my home town of St Leonards is dedicated to St Thomas of Canterbury.

Outstanding and inspiring are the words for this week’s LDM episode. The timing is so perfect this week when so much of the worldly focus is on distracting us from our regular devotions by visitors, personal over indulging and generally struggling a bit to stay on track spiritually. I love the play on words, reminding me what my ATTITUDE should BE! Thank you Fr Chris for the detailed explanation of the Eight Beatitudes, the segment on Our Lady of Champion, the Solemnity of Mary, the Mother of God and Brother Ryan’s segment on St. Thomas Beckett. I repeat this was just what I needed to be watching today . You are always there to give us a shot in the arm when it’s needed. Interesting that I should choose to watch this video today (Dec 29) as I am planning a summer vacation with my daughters to Wisconsin to include a trip to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion. I only knew it was the only approved apparition site in the U.S...I did not know the story behind it...and now I do! Thanks, Father Alar. Please pray that my daughters and I are touched by Our Mother Mary in new and deeper ways, and pray especially for my youngest daughter who followed me away from the Church 30 years ago and has not returned...though she did go to Mass with me on Christmas Day.

Fr. Alar, can you tell me when did the faithful start calling the Church, "Church"? How did they decide to name it this and is there any significant to the term? I am a devoted catholic since birth and am now in retirement age but never thought about this until I started my rosary daily with my brother. We pray both the rosary and Chaplet every day and we also read the Bible together. I will continue to pray for our Church everyday. God bless and thank you, Natalie(in Medina, Ohio)

I am angry to Pope Francis and my Bishop / Cardinal Milton Gregory because thanks to them I am not able to attend The Traditional Latin Mass at 10:30 am but my heart hurts more for The Priests affected by that decision, six churches have been affected by the cancelation of The Traditional Latin Mass. My heart hurts because Bishop Strickland has been removed, Father James Mawdsley and so many other faithful Priests being canceled 😞💔💔💔😭😭😭😭💔 God knows that my heart is broken 💔because all the evil crooked things going on in my beloved church. All the confusion and division in the church.

I am so sorry about how you feel. Though, I am so happy about that on this Christmas day, our pope, Francis has appeared in my dream, just a friendly visit. And the otherday, I went through my diary and read that Jesus has asked me if I loved him. exactly same as how Jesus asked St. Peter 3 times. "Do you love me?" which I have completely forgot about it, which it happened few years ago and not in dream. I believe that, even if it was in a dream that Pope Francis has appeared that he came, to tend me. And to feed me, as Jesus told him to do so. Pope Francis represents our Lord Jesus Christ. Simply, Pope Francis is tending us as for Jesus. Our lady of Champion, Pray for us! As you know that Jesus loves you and our pope loves you, as well. And I love you, as well. Let him do his job for our lord Jesus Christ. Happy new year to you. ❤ Sabina
