as many before have said, this is George's song & lyrics & for me, the best of the Beatles tunes. My favourite version, well worth a reaction, is from The Bangla Desh Concert George organised for aid relief (well before band-aid). He plays a superb rendition with two members from Bad Finger, all playing acoustic guitars, the sound is awesome & Georges voice is at it's best.

It's okay music is supposed to make you feel intensely; you are beautiful and your honest display of emotions is authentic and inspiring!

George was my favorite Beatle. Didn’t write as many songs, but often, his contributions were the best ones on their respective albums. This is one of those, and one of the most brilliant guitar pieces ever composed. Will you PLEASE do Johnny and Edgar Winter doing “Tobacco Road” live?

I graduated high school in 1970. In my senior year we went on the "Walk For Mankind", a 40 mile walk around the Twin Cities and we got sponsors to pay us by the mile we walked. We started in a football stadium and it was raining. Just before the start of the walk, the sun came out and everyone started singing "Here Comes The Sun". It was AWESOME!!!!! One of the most poignant moments in my life. And, yes, I did the entire 40 mile walk.

Fantastic that you are now listening to the Beatles, one of the bands I listened to growing up. This was written by George Harrison who came up with a lot of lovely sentimental songs. "Something"; "Blue Jay Way" and "While my guitar gently weeps" are another couple of my favourites.

George Harrison, the handsome man with a hat at the very last shot, is the composer and main vocalist of this masterpiece. The gentle optimism and underlying bittersweetness of the song is a great reflection of his experience in the last few years in the band. It was a particularly cold winter in London, and he was struggling with disillusionment with fame and being in the band, his new found spiritual awareness, marital problems, and unstoppable rise as a very prolific and accomplished songwriter who can't find enough space and appreciation in the band to show the extent of his talents. With this realization and appreciation of sun and spring (and a better future) with such a gorgeous tune, he wrote a classic. R.I.P George.

One of the most personal heartfelt songs by George took years to impact me. I find much of The Beatles music I see in a different light as an older man. I highly recommend George's, " Long Long Long ". Maybe his best.

This song was written by George Harrison at his friend Eric Clapton's house when they were sitting by Eric's pool, so Eric saw when the song was made.

I live in Canada The weather is similar to Britain.. This song is about our cold snowy long winters nearing their end . By the end of March you get some sunny almost warm afternoons .You see a crust of ice on the top of the snow that glistens when the sun hits it . The ice begins to drip water from our eves. The cool air feels almost like spring. People really do begin to smile more. I am sure that this is what this song is about.
