Hey Matt, Band On The Run is coming out in a month (with a bonus disc). But with Denny passing, his estate will be tied up for a while, so I wouldn't expect anything recorded before 1980 from Paul this year. Just my thoughts. Take care...

I don't think the MMT as a worthwhile project for a big deluxe box set. 7 of the songs have already been released in remixed form. It might be an unpopular opinion, but I think the Red and Blue reissues really took a lot of the thunder from prospective reissues of the remaining albums. I think the stray MMT and yellow submarine tracks could be a single disk release with a few rarities thrown in. I think letting Lennon's Sometimes in NYC pass was the best call. By far the weakest of his solo career apart from the noise albums. I think a combination of mind games and walls and bridges into one set could round out all I could need from his catalog. Many of those George and Ringo albums don't need huge deluxe sets. Nice affordable 2 disk sets or combined sets could work nicely. That ridiculous overpriced ATMP box soured me on the Harrison estate. I didn't buy it, but I know plenty of people got gouged by that thing.

I am expecting a lot in the next little while we will get things related to the 60th anniversary of the Beatles appearance on Ed Sullivan....Further in the year, I think we'll get 60th anniversary things around "Hard Days Night".... Peace and Love Terry and Julia Tutor

I was let down last year that they didn’t release “Rubber Soul” so I’m hoping for “RUBBER SOUL” this year.

We ARE getting something from Paul. On Feb 2nd, 2024, the new release (with bonus discs) of Band On The Run" will be in stores. How come this seems to be skipped so often on these "Whats Next" Beatles videos? P.S. its also rumored that a McCartney lV may be in the works.

Let's start with Rubber Soul, Matt. I would have loved to see a box with MMT and the 1967 stuff from Yellow Submarine included. Hard Day's Night is my 2nd favorite lp, so that would be most welcomed as well. Star Club? Sure!!! With you, anything from the Beatles....Not a big fan of Mind Games, I think it's one of his weaker albums. Now on the other hand, would love to see Walls & Bridges, which I think is arguably his best. Love your "Dark Horse" reference! Something from George would be welcomed. Not crazy about Cloud 9; not my favorite George, although I agree with your assessment about it being his most commercial, which is why it's my least favorite. I think his Estate has been really lackluster in releasing material. Thanks for another great video. Hope springs eternal!

Hey Matt, It's 60 years already. How many more deluxe sets does everyone need?? I guess for the "younger" set it may make sense, but some of us are pushing 70 and above! Money aside, I can't see adding any more stuff to an already crowded home and I think about when it's my time to go, my family will have the unpleasant task of getting rid of all my "junk." I don't mean to be a killjoy. It just seems pointless. The Beatles and their estates are laughing all the way to the bank and probably smirking, "Ha, ha, those dummies will blow their money on anything."

Matt, you may be right. Paul realising Band on the run with remastered AI is good. I hope they do release Rubber Soul with the remastered AI, and Meet the Beatles. Johns Mind Games I am actually happy about.

I'd love a "Walls And Bridges" super deluxe set way more than a 'Mind Games" one. I think "Cloud Nine" is the only other viable George Harrison studio album for a super deluxe set. I'd bet "London Town" will be the next "McCartney Archive" set. For The Beatles, I think it will be something different this year, maybe a live box set? I think "Rubber Soul" could be the next super deluxe studio album set. But not until late 2025, for the 60th anniversary.

Magical Mystery Tour is has always been one of my top 5 Beatles albums. Side one is great, Side two is one of the best sides ever!

Just another thought: since Please Please Me and With the Beatles were early, 2-track recordings, I could see a double remix of both albums in one box set, maybe with studio banter. Just hearing them joke around and talk through what they wanted to do for the next take would be fun and interesting to listen to. There could be an entire disc of this alone, added to the 2 albums.

If McCartney would listen to his fans he would release the long overdue anniversary editions of London Town and Back To the Egg in 2024 but apparently he hates these albums which assumingly is why he hasn't included any songs from these in his setlists since 1979.

Matt, when will there be or will there ever be an early takes volume 2 from George? I love volume 1 and a volume 2 is long past due. What do you think?

We already know that Paul is releasing a 50th (51st?) anniversary version of Band on the Run including an 'under dubbed' version at the beginning of February. Following the Lennon release logic, that should be it for the year.

This is really mouthwatering, Matt. Let’s hope the officials of the Beatles camp take a good look at your video for getting some exciting inspiration. On my list there are these: Mind Games Super Deluxe, London Town / Back To the Egg, Cloud Nine Super Deluxe, Ringo‘s four Apple studio albums plus Blasts From Your Past in one Super Deluxe box together and Rubber Soul Super Deluxe. Although "Some Time in NYC" wasn't a great album, I think that there should be new audio and Blu Ray release of his 2 1972 concerts. I wonder if the Harrison estate will ever release footage from his 1974 concert tour? There might be enough extra tracks/early takes/studio banter to have an extra disc for the 1973 Ringo album. Paul has a lot of great material (Wings Over America/Rock Show Blu Ray and LP box set?). Just thinking out loud. I always appreciate your enthusiasm.

I suspect we will not get London Town or Back to the Egg. Paul cooled off on those for now I suspect

Yeah you got me salivating at the prospect of anything Beatles, especially when you held up Hamburg. I don't know why. A Hard Day's Night would be cool too! I am not a Cloud 9 fan. Jeff Lynne just rubs me the wrong way with his production. Someone, convince me differently. I like Phil Spector better. Weird, right? If George's folks did anything it would be cool to have a total rarities from throughout the years. Like, I would like to hear an official 'I'll Still Love You,' which I think he did during the making of All Things Must Pass. I have a bootleg with it but it went to Ringo and George didn't even play on it, unfortunately. I'm sure that won't happen with George's music. I think Paul should remix McCartney 3. Just kidding!!! I don't care what he does. London Town would be great, obviously. Back to the Egg isn't as good but maybe there are more outtakes that are more worthwhile than London Town. Who knows? I'm seriously glad about Mind Games and I will drool over that when I get it (not because of a stroke - not literally drool). And Ringo - yes his greatest is the Ringo album. But are there outtakes? I've never heard bootleg sessions of it. And did he tour it? I don't remember. Thanks for your early in the year speculations and awesome t-shirt, Matt! You were your wears well for sure!!!

I very much doubt a Press to Play Deluxe Edition will ever eventuate. This is because in that rather limited in number (from the deluxe people) book on the album where Paul gives a star rating for each song, he doesn't from memory (and I'll check on this) give anything more than a 3 out of 5. He really doesn't like the album. Hopefully has fans and the general masses have come to better appreciate Back to the Egg and Record Collector Magazine named it one of their top favourite Macca albums I can see that is the most likely. Yet as Matt says who knows with Paul. I listened to Some Time In New York City and I'm afraid I think I will avoid providing my personal opinion and leave it at that. I know there will be fans out there that think it brilliant.

Now and Then was great. The red and blue were a disaster. How about a box set of the U.S. Capitol albums to celebrate the 60th anniversary of them coming to America

I wish they would remaster Free as a Bird and Real Love extracting John's voice using AI in the same way that was done for Now and Then.
