Manhattan Camerata: the Divinity Project, Blessed Sacrament Church NYC 10/26/10, performing Pedro H. da Silva's Transcalssical(TM) arrangement of two Beatles songs: "Tomorrow Never Knows" and "Within You Without You". With Jessica Kimple, Nils Nilsen, and Dmitri Ribero on vocals, Pedro da Silva on sitar, Lucia Caruso on organ, David Silliman on darbuka, Katie Andrews on harp, Alicia Horwitz on flute, Megan Marolf on oboe,
Shanti Raval on clarinet, Amanda Lo and Louise Couturier on violin, Aleksandr Nazaryan on viola, Leat Sabbah on cello, Pablo Aslan on bass, and Thiago Tiberio conducting.

I love when the cellist is allowed to cut loose....as a guitarist, I always had an issue with cello drivers....they always made my look like a moron.....but now I have achieved some understanding of how music/life actually works.....thank you so awfully!!!!!

I LOVED this! The instrumentation, down to the simple sound of the chime was /is extraordinary. The vocals were a bit more operatic than I prefer, but they also underscore how diverse the Beatles' music is and how it can't be pinned into a category or genre. I like how seamlessly John and George's songs merged here to take us on a transcendent journey. Like any of their fans I sure miss them both so much and this was video is both enjoyable and comforting. Thanks for sharing it.

The original (on the Revolver album) isn't the most spectacular Beatles piece, but the number of great covers, in all different musical styles, is amazing. This is one of those.

The Sitar is a near sacred instrument to be handled with reverence and respect and an extention of human emotion through musical prowess .It should never be contaminated by the dirt and grime from the soiled shoes from its handlers . Further explanation into this reason can be found in deeper research on the web.

This needs untrained pop voices, raw and rough vocals, natural..not the processed and finely honed technique of opera caliber singers. Too cultured, too neat and clean...not in the spirit of popping LSD and tripping out...

The sounds and arrangements were great, but their use of the sharp 4 of the scale every time, instead of the natural 4, ruined it for me. It's such a beautiful melody that shouldn't have been screwed with. If George wanted a sharp 4, he would have written it as a sharp 4. Whoever rewrote the melody made it unlistenable for me.

The instrumentals were great; they really captured the spirit of the the songs. The singers, however, were too well-trained, or perhaps relying too much on their training; they never really got into the groove.

Strained academic vocals don't fit that. Instrumental part is almost perfect (organ sounds a bit churchy).

The Catholic Church where this concert took place, the main priest, the whole congregation, and us, the musicians, all thought it was perfectly appropriate. We believe in plurality and more than just respect for other religions: we believe in complete acceptance of other religions and embrace their differences and message. Have a good day.

That is a holy place. The altar and tabernacle still have full function for the Mass.Everyone assembled are trampling holy ground. The music is from luciferian groups. try viewing traditionalrosaryprayers.blogspot.com look on the right top of page the meditation one and war in Heaven one for starters.
