Gdańsk has his Aquarius / Poseidon / Neptun, Warsaw has her Mermaid / Siren / Serene, Krakow has his Dragon, either defeated (by prince Krak) or venerated (depends who you ask). Just look at RMF-FM's dragon, Interia's dragon, PetroKrak's dragon etc.

The sister in the beginning was so rightfull and correct. All she said is truth: 1. Warm welcome to all Ethiopians. 2. It is strange that an African is visiting. 3. You need to go to other cities but not necesarily Warsaw, Krakow recommended. Gdańsk is Polish just since several Decades. Even it name points that it is Gothic, not Polish. 4. Częstochowa is the center of Poland, where you need to go. See the palace of our current royals - the Jasna Góra Monastery.

Gdansk has been Polish for centuries. After Poland's partitions, it belonged to Prussia for about 120 years and after WW2 it returned to Poland again. Wikipedia: history of Gdansk in English. There is a nice timetable showing who was ruling the city in which period of time. Just to clarify the sentence "Gdańsk is Polish just since several Decades", which can be misleading for some foreigners.

@@tomekmar7517 Even when it was insinde Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth it still wasn't part of Poland but of Royal Prussia, because this land is Prussia.
@tomekmar75172 жыл бұрын
@@krakendragonslayer1909Even long before Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth was created, Gdansk and Pomerelia were integrated with Poland by early Polish rulers. I do not refer just to the name of the land but to the rightful ruler over these territories. Later Gdansk and this region formed the so-called Pomeranian Voivodeship which was part of Poland. First as a dependency of the Polish crown (with granted autonomy and privileges by the Polish king) and then it was fully merged after the Union of Lublin. "In 1569, as a result of the Union of Lublin, which created the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, Royal Prussia was integrated fully into the Kingdom of Poland, and its parliament reduced to the status of a provincial assembly, also other separate Prussian institutions were dissolved.[5] The former territory was subsequently governed as Pomeranian Voivodeship." Also, Wikipedia - Unia LUBELSKA - and there is a map of Poland. Just look at it and read the description.

The restrictions in Poland were pretty much gone during the last couple of months due to low infection rate (under 100 daily in the entire country). Sadly, there is a steady surge in infections recently so the masks are probably coming back soon.
