Man, you're one mighty human being. My friend and I did Bright trail on April 4th 2021. We went down to the Colorado river and chilled for a bit then went back up. After Indian Garden is where the Hellfest to the top begins. So for you to do R2R2R in 16+ hours, I Salute You my friend. Great Work.

Thank you! R2River2R is still an impressive hike, nice work! And that’s right haha after Indian Garden is where it gets real rough climbing starts! Gotta love the never ending switch backs!

Did a down and up a couple of years ago. Lost my quads going down and my lungs going up. A R2R2R is an accomplishment.

That was full blown punishing, right there! Awesome job doing that. I've run R2R 8 times. Rim-2-River 3 times in the last year. Those trails are absolutely unforgiving, and they never let up.

Outstanding! I've done this a few times but over two days with a good night of sleep on the north rim. Can't imagine turning around and going right back. Great accomplishment.

You did rim to rim to rim, and had the strength to do B roll. For the people who don’t know what that means, he walked the b roll sections twice. Very impressive!

Bravo! U made it look easy..ascending out that north rim on first cross is switchback hell!! did rim to rim last year from south to north rim. Do you have a pack list posted? or can u share. Most interested in pack/hydro vest type, how was storage? Type and how many calories u packed? Noticed u had no support on north rim to RE supply so wondered how u packed it all? looked like an efficient setup wanted to mimic. Are those the brooks trail runners and what’s covering them? Thanks in advance and congrats! Planning 3 R’s in 18 hours this coming October

Is the Grand Canyon like ONE PATH or something? I mean seriously, Ive watched 8 Grand Canyon hikes this month and they’re ALL on the same path with the same names like, (I’ve already memorized “Phantom Ranch”)….almost feels like it’s not even “getting away” in that area cause its in every video.

The Grand Canyon has 100s of miles of trails and is a huge vast canyon with many cool spots. However the rugged terrain mixed with the difficult of the climb in and out makes the 3 main trails the most accessible to the public as those trails are maintained. The main hike if you just go down bright angle and back up is still around 20 miles with 5000 feet of elevation gain. Its like Basically going up and down a set of stairs 500 times. So to venture to any other trails of the canyon requires a lot of experience. That’s why you see so much of those trails. Not because they are the only trails, but because it’s the easiest way to experience the Grand Canyon. Also to say that is not “getting away” would be false, even if it is the main trails that most people take. The Grand Canyon has about 6 million visitors per year however only around 1% of those visitors actually hike down into the canyon. So a VERY small percent of the population get to see and experience those trails, and even fewer venture off into the other trails like Tonto for example which is a rugged trail that traverses the bottom of that canyon. Anywhere you go in the Grand Canyon is getting away! Also phantom ranch is not a trail, it’s a campground that people stay at.

Thank you!! Actually didn’t take too long. Took a few days off and focused on recovery. Then had a 57 mile race the week after which I was fully recovered for in time.

“One final push to the rim “😂 There was manzanita rest area and one other that you had to pass . You still had 3 hours from the top , you sure made that seam easy till I went two weeks back . Park ranger but on KZfaq I should be to the top already 😩😩😩🤢🤮
