People shit far too much on Cameron nowadays.. The guy knows exactly how to makes movies. Titanic is absolutely flawless, Terminator is iconic, Avatar is not perfect, but it's one of the best world building I've seen in cinema. Abyss and True Lies are a lot of fun. And he made Aliens and T2, two of the most important movie sequels of all time. I'm a bit to think that he's not gonna make anything else than Avatar sequels.. But I can't wait to watch them ❤️ Piranha 2 is pretty bad tho ^^

because Cameron is straightforward when he's being asked by media about something, especially today's movies like MCU. He doesn't like to sugarcoat his opinion like other famous directors. Like when he was asked about his opinion on Avengers, and he said something that pissed off the Superhero fan community. So in response, they targeted his most successful film - Avatar, and him.

People only *Titanic* as a movie which stayed as the highest grossing movie for more than a decade but they ignore "what's in that movie, what kind of movie it is". Titanic and Interstellar are my most favourite movies. I love them equally even though they are completely different.

@@jaykray1820 Ι think it's cliched, as you put it, on purpose. The acting and they way everyone behaves is the memories of an old lady from her teenage PoV. It's high likely those memories and the way she remembers all that happened during that cruise are distorted, and Cameron wants to subtly pass that on screen.

What "Tech Noir" sequence are you referring to? When you first see him regenerating his skin and that he's a robot underneath? I love how that movie and Blade Runner basically established that genre in the movie world, and they're two of the best sci-fi movies ever made.

One of my personal favorites, along with my late mother's. Everyone played brilliantly, thanks to the strong well defined characters. And the music makes up half the enjoyment of the film. I've watched The Abyss countless times and it never gets old, but that goes for all of Cameron's films.

James Cameron, Christopher Nolan, and Rian Johnson were all filmmakers in my book that proved that the action packed summer blockbuster sci fi genre didn’t need to just be an over saturated cash grab franchise venture like what you see in many of the Fast and Furious/Transformers movies. They proved that you can have all the explosions in the world if that’s what you want as so long as there is a meaningful story underneath. Avatar, Inception, Looper were the very definition of that notion.

Jim Cameron always pushes the envelope, he never stops to get what he wants and makes the film a work of art. He also includes the best cinematography, editing, sound, visual effects and action sequences. He also did great work with Stan Winston.

James Cameron est un des réalisateurs que je respecte le plus, la plupart de ses films ont été de vraies révolutions dans l'histoire du cinéma, et Avatar est l'un de mes films préférés (c'est aussi le premier film de Cameron que j'ai découvert, juste avant Titanic). C'est quelqu'un qui cherche toujours à repousser ses limites, à découvrir de nouvelles technologies dans le domaine du cinéma, et c'est surtout un réalisateur qui ne se repose jamais sur ses lauriers. Je le redis : on n'est vraiment pas prêt pour Avatar 2, en tout cas visuellement je suis sûr que ça sera une nouvelle révolution !

It's kinda sad that nowadays people see James Cameron as a hack when time & time again he has proven himself in the films he creates. People doubted him when he made the first Terminator film. People doubted him to direct an Alien sequel. People doubted him that T2 will ever surpass the original. People doubted him that Titanic was gonna be the biggest flop in cinema history. People doubted him that a fully CGI 3D movie was gonna ever work. People may not like the way he goes about what he says & does but there is no denying as a film maker James has proven that he is one of the best in the business. His ability to capture a shot, set up a world, & make the film captivate the audience is truly remarkable.

It would work better as subtitles because by placing the name in the image you can damage it

@@familygonzcartwright Well there're black rectangles at the bottom and top of the screen, having it at the corners of one of those black areas wont disturb or destroy the image. Having it in the center of the bottom black square would draw more attention than having it at one of the corners. Also maybe don't have it written with totally white text, just a lighter black color would do.

@@louisBrother1988 they are not in every frame. Those black rectangles you talk about appear only in the panoramic images. Subtitles would work better because if you want to know, which is your case, you can know the film, but you can also turn them off and not see the information. I see the choice as a better option.
