Sakuga isn’t always just action, impact frames and explosions. Sometimes it can be a realistically animated, expression, walk, lip-sync, hand interaction, ect. I find that type of sakuga just as endearing if not more than action sakuga. (I still like action sakuga since it is unique to its medium) A recent example of casual sakuga would be ‘Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End’ it also has plenty of action as well. Just all around well produced by reputable Studio Madhouse.

Yes, I know this. That's why I said "its when a scene has noticeably higher quality". I'm just fully focusing on the action aspect because this is a video on my personal favorite "techniques", and because its my favorite kind of Sakuga in general

@@Echidonadonut69 ik I'm not the guy you asked, but the answer is that alot of western animation use sakuga and hire sakuga animators. Alot of DC Animated media, from what I know

What about Itano circus chasing a flying guy who lands on the ground creating a Yutapon Cube impact crater and then we 3D camera rotate to an upward angle of the incoming missles colliding with a generated shield from the protagonist of which the collision is accentuated with 3 billion impact frames in a millisecond before collectively causing a nuclear explosion that the protagonist is unscathed from due to the shield?
