Absolutely beautiful. What an instant classic and one I will be listening to regularly. I love Rogue Trader era and ancient 40k universe stories. Especially since that era is rarely touched on. A fantastic story time and history lesson.

Your narration here sounds like a cardinal from the vatican. My favorite part of 40k is the warning of mankinds assent followed by a brutal fall. I feel the true shame of the Imperium is that after the Emperor lifted us from that dark time we fell into it agian after he was seated on the golden thone and haven't even try'd to get back up. You will always fall down, but only because you rose up to begin with. Very soul touching work!

I mean they literally believe the emperor wanted to give them the galaxy as their manifest destiny and that aliens and chaos pollute what is rightfully theirs? They think it’s a sin to worship their own knowledge (like said in the video) because the only right path is the worship of the God emperor. They believe ancient humanity was wrong because they created machines that could think on their own, they believe ancient humanity was wrong because they believed in their own glory and not the emperors. And to anyone who disagrees they simply say and what became of ancient humanity? Destroyed by the machines they have the ability to think. The first thing the emperor did when he unified terra and Mars was BAN AI OUTRIGHT NO EXCEPTIONS. Their oath is literally to just trust the emperor and forgo anything else as anything else leads to heresy and destructive of the body and mind
