My top tip: Do the "Hunts" as they reset daily. Use the Hunt tokens for tickets so you can gacha more frequently (don't mix tickets with gems). Hunts can easily be handled with any built character THAT deals damage of some kind. It can also be done as a group if you are sitting there with your gearless Vivi cuz he's the man. My #2 tip: NEVER BE AFRAID TO DO COOP. People will happily CARRY YOU. Just please make sure to use the "boosted" characters with the pink/purple ring around their picture for that event. It doubles the rewards for everyone.

Thanks for this! I started playing last week, not knowing the new player experience also received a rework... So i restarted again :) Farmed hard and was able to get Garnet complete, Kain complete and WOL complete. Work, lovely! And keep up the great content

I was off and on for years. Barely touched the game. But I came back for the Kain summons and was able to get his newest weapon and all his old ones maxed out. Didn’t spend a dime. It’s really amazing.

honestly I gotta use the guide finally because since 2018 I have been playing this game on and off and since suddenly all my characters got level 70 I felt kinda discouraged because I genuinely liked leveling them up one by one but oh well. Might as well do something as the game suggests. Especially since I lost my account again for an unknown reason. This guide is actually very informative, thank you for making it. Got back a lot of Terra's weapons already (well, only without Zantetsuken, but that will come around at later date) and so I am encouraged again to take on the challenge.

Tip of the day for new players...DONT Burst Phase in Co-op. Single Burst move is OK, but don't waste people's time trying to flex and clear a Co-op mission solo. Defeats the purpose of playing cooperatively. Great vid as always Joe. ✌❤

A top Tip: If you are not signing up for mog pass and paying a subscription, when it comes to "Enhancement points" and spending them on any character's "Enhancement Board" outside of VERY rare occasions don't spend points on a character outside of their LD weapon's branch, which only unlocks with a fully upgraded LD weapon anyway, the reason for this is LD weapons and it's LD ability are great but generally only fundamentally power up the character after unlocking the furthest south east branch of the LD tree in the Enhancement Board it is also worth picking up the most southern branch of the LD tree picking up their LD Call ability and the LD call enhancement. this lets you budget your limited Enhancement point pool. it won't be too long before you can cap out each limited time event and grab your 5000 points. eventually you will want to fill out the full board for characters you have all the weapons for but don't rush it as having a diverse roster of LD budget branches will help you clear harder content for the rarer resources.

I started 6 months ago however I only did events up to chaos and didn’t do anything else like stories, LC and dimensions so had lots of back log to get resources. I was waiting for FR era since it will be so much easier to pick up weapons.

If i have to give an advice I say do not sell your 15 and 35 cp weapon max limit break them they will help improve your characters kit and performance

With this I would like to sugguest a video series idea. Clearing the highest difficulties you can with only the characters that have their banners up, including calls. Could be a fun challenge, since even if you can get other characters like Kurasume from their LC you'll still lack their kits which would limit their potential greatly already. Plus Cloud, Lightning and Squall since new players have access to their banner also. Concept it to simulate a new player that starts that day at what they can potentially do.

Super Synergy...farm all them summon boards before it is too late.

The game finish me off it gaves me 50kGems! I let the game aways for 1 or to years...and so I was acknowledging that they boost up character and crystals levels at 70. Now you the how the game work, each time you rank up, you receive gems... But now, what if you have 20 on 30 characters not maxed out and down level!? A BLOODY GEMS RAIN! So satisfying! And they add the character "maxed out checking" menu! So damn practical when you know to get you Jack Garland up... By the way... I'm back in the game and satisfy with because of all improvements they've done. Before, that was quite heavy and annoying to check all elements without someone explaining you what to do. In particular when you're not that good in English... (Good video! Thanks for that!)

(Disclaimer: I'm probably repeating something Joe says in the video, I'm writing this before watching) The best advice I got after running out of tickets and gems and just getting frustrated with myself: *This is not like other gacha games. There are no one-and-done exclusives that influence the meta. Every character and even their alternate costumes has been known to come back at some point in the future.* With this in mind, my general policy on banners is: 1. Set a HARD limit on resources you spend. Stick with that limit. It might suck at first, but you will find 80-90% of the time the game is usually playable with the crew you have on hand. 2. If you do go "all in" (pull until you get the full kit or pity), make sure it's a character you actually care about. If it's a meta-breaking character but you don't particularly care for him or her, there's absolutely nothing wrong with skipping the banner if you hit your resource limit. Trust me, you will enjoy the game much more when you crush a top tier quest with a party of favorites. 3. If you can, regularly invest some money in the game to keep it going, a kind of "voluntary subscription". Most gacha games do not have sustainable business models, and DFFOO is no exception.

Came back recently after losing my 1st acount to some iPad damage(I played through the 1st 20-ish months to the game's release). I honestly *REALLY* did not like the level 70 burst after ch. 1. For someone who enjoys character growth like I do, it trivializes the main story fights until Act 4. I think a smaller burst(level 50, maybe?) would have been much less of a deflation.
