Thanks a lot for this great teaching, Pastor David. I once was lead through the book of Job by the studies of Roger Liebi which were great, now your teaching adds a ot of very good aspects which deepends my understanding. I can relate very much to the two perspectives of the hedge. Last year I started learning psalms by heart and Vers 5 of Pslam 139 first made me feel very uncomfortable and it gave me a claustrophobic feeling that made it hard to breath for me. But after a while I realized that it was not a limitation (that's how I experienced it) like a sort of jail and then I experienced it as a protection shield which keeps me on the track and protects me from falseness and poor decisions. Thanks for your prayers!!! Have a blessed YEAR 2024!!

Great message! Please consider the quality of the audio. It seems to have too much compression and it is clipping. Digital clipping sounds very bad. Pastor David is an incredible teacher. ❤

Encouraging message but I am always so disappointed when great Bible teachers think that are too good for the KJB. The passage in Luke when Satan is asking to sift the disciples but that Jesus specifically prays for only Peter is sadly missed, or unable to understand, in the modern bibles because the all important “thee, thou, ye, etc” are removed. Satan desired to sift all the disciples but Christ prays specifically for Peter! The general notice Christ gives to Peter of the devil's design upon him and the rest of the apostles (Luke 22:31): The Lord said, Simon, Simon, observe what I say Satan hath desired to have you, to have you all in his hands, that he may sift you as wheat. Peter, who used to be the mouth of the rest in speaking to Christ, is here made the ear of the rest and what is designed for warning to them all (all you shall be offended, because of me) is directed to Peter, because he was principally concerned, being in particular manner struck at by the tempter: Satan has desired to have you. Probably Satan had accused the disciples to God as mercenary in following Christ, and aiming at nothing else therein but enriching and advancing themselves in this world, as he accused Job. "No," saith God, "they are honest men, and men of integrity." "Give me leave to try them," saith Satan, "and Peter particularly." He desired to have them, that he might sift them, that he might show them to be chaff, and not wheat. The troubles that were now coming upon them were sifting, would try what there was in them: but this was not all Satan desired to sift them by his temptations, and endeavoured by those troubles to draw them into sin, to put them into a loss and hurry, as corn when it is sifted to bring the chaff uppermost, or rather to shake out the wheat and leave nothing but the chaff. Observe, Satan could not sift them unless God gave him leave: He desired to have them, as he begged of God a permission to try and tempt Job. Exetesato--"He has challenged you, has undertaken to prove you a company of hypocrites, and Peter especially, the forwardest of you." Some suggest that Satan demanded leave to sift them as their punishment for striving who should be greatest, in which contest Peter perhaps was very warm: "Leave them to me, to sift them for it." 2. The particular encouragement he gave to Peter, in reference to this trial: "I have prayed for thee, because, though he desires to have them all, he is permitted to make his strongest onset upon thee only: thou wilt be most violently assaulted, but I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not, that it may not totally and finally fail." -Matthew Henry commentary

I don't think that a pastor choosing to not use KJV Bible automatically indicates that they think that they are "too good". Modern translations exists to better. communicate the eternal truths of God. Language is always changing. Good Bible teachers will often dig deep past the English, and study the original languages.

With all do respect brother, just how many more modern translations do we need to arrive at the “truths of God”. Do you not see the damage having 100’s of translations are having on the church. Having a Bible study these days is impossible with everyone using “their favorite version”. What is our ultimate authority? In Jeremiah 3:7, did God “think” or did God say? Just one of literally 1,000’s of changes that DO affect doctrine! Just to note, the KJB translators were brilliant men in understanding the original languages.

If the newer bibles are supposedly better, as you say, why so much apostasy. I think all we need to do is examine the fruit of 400 years of the KJB verses the fruit of the modern versions. The church is a mess. Let’s go back to the “old paths” and the old book!
