Nice video , Just got it today and I’m really enjoying it. It’s a bit disappointing that it doesn’t work with cinematic video mode on iPhone, only regular video mode. 😢

All they need to do now is add wheels to it so it can follow you around It’s pretty cool how that works hand in hand with an accessory. It must be pulling the face/image detection X/Y/Z co ordinates and when you’re about to go out of centre of frame, it reacts. I wonder if there’s any other additional sensors inside the device

This feels pretty niche, even in the social media age. The majority of content creators aren't running around having to move their camera setup because their workspace is in one location. The iPhone already does some tracking.

This would be useful if you could use the back camera and if you attach it to a tripod

I had the same thought, but are we sure it can’t? I don’t see a camera mount, but within many of the supported apps you can just hit a button to change from the selfie camera. Why wouldn’t it be able to continue to track you (or whatever you are filming) - it is using the camera. I suppose DockKit could limit it, but that would be pretty arbitrary. It would be great if someone could make this with the capabilities of a stabilization gimbal as well.

Would be cool if it could follow you when you are watching video playback on KZfaq or other apps. For example, recipe videos when you are navigating around a kitchen. Can’t help but think this tech could come to an official Apple iPad dock or the rumored HomePod with screen.

There was nothing quiet about it, Apple literally announced it shortly at last dub dub. It just flew under the radar given that there wasn't a product out at dub dub with it for obvious reasons.

I have one like that from a Kickstarter which was supposed to do all the tricks. I used it once and never again. The software was never developped before the company ended its business 🙄

it's about half the price of other worse trackers and with dock-kit framework and magsafe, I think it's actually a pretty impressive price-point compared to other tracking products out there. Since for those that already have an iPhone, it's more common.
