We all live with the nagging fear of disappointing others - of not doing enough or being enough for the people we love. In this video, I talk about the benefits of self reflection. Looking inward helps you focus on the areas of your life where you might improve. It’s the first step in facing your challenges head-on.

"The Most Scared Journey is theJourney Inward." Is a profound statement. I was led to this video right after is having a discovering thought about my inadequacies as a leader and matriarch of my family. Giving suggestions and missing the mark and reflecting on it is awarenesses that leads to acceptance; with that acceptance of who we are and what we can see within changes (only if we are willing,) us. It is our call to ACTION. We can not affect change in our lives without taking an inventory of who we are and who we have been. The invitation is "To know thyself."This is when the need for a greater good for humanity and God is revealed. I applaud your transparency and perhaps this is what we need to see in people who are leading us. Your humility is what makes you effective as a leader who leads leaders. It creates an atmosphere of trustworthiness in our homes and civic duties. This is what Love looks like. We need to keep striving to teach and encourage others to take the same journey. If you have peace in your life, you are living a dream! Keep up the impeccable work Sean.

Thank you Ashay. :) Wow, I can't adequately tell you how your words land for me. So eloquently spoken. I agree with you 100%. "Know thyself" is becoming so much more profound for me in the recent years. It's the most sacred gift we can give ourselves I believe, at least when it comes to our human experience down here. But it takes a willingness you spoke about that many of us are afraid of, unfortunately. Thank you again. :)

My favorite topic. Motivation, Confidence, overcoming fears. I've learned so much by making mistakes, learned by stepping OUT of my comfortzone and facing fears and challenges. There's no other way to overcome fears than by facing them and shaking hands with your fear. Traveling the world solo, I create video's and show people how I face challenges every time I enter a new country, every time I meet new people and create connections, but the VICTORY feeling and confidence feeling when moving past another fear, is just awesome! Similarly, I learned how to become a motivational and TEDx speaker, step by step, each time a bit further out of the comfortzone. Nice to find you here Sean and as a fellow KZfaqr, I'm happily subscribing too. Happy Journey Rachel

Indeed!!!! That's everything, Rachel. It's not the presence of fear, but our relationship to it that really determines whether we keep growing or retreating in its presence. I appreciate that perspective so much and I'm happy to be connected with you now!

i love you so much. i love your heart and your raw authentic truth. you showing up in the world like this is what gave me permission to do and be who i do and be now. i am forever grateful for you. for your truth. it's not about the "fake it til you make it" for me either. this here that you're talking about? THIS is what champions are made of because the REAL strength lives INSIDE the core of our humanity. Gah. I'll say it again. i love you like this. raw. real. for always... thank you.

xo Thank you. "inside the core of our humanity"... yes, 100%. It's where the scariest emotions live, but also where the most beautiful experiences live. Of course, I don't need to tell you that! ;)

I've been introspective since I was very young, so I'm pretty clear on who I am and why I do what I do. Can I con myself? Yes. Do I live up to my potential? Sometimes. Do I feel guilty when I don't? Yes, but I don't beat myself up. That would be pretty self defeating, wouldn't it. I joking say that I'm a genius. I joke about it because I know that I'm smart AND I also know that I'm NOT all-knowing. I'm made in the image of God. I'm not God. I know this about myself and everyone else know it about themselves. So... Why you we act otherwise? When I act like I'm invincible, always strong, always wise, I think it comes from my egotistical self. And, if I truly was as superior as I'm trying to convince myself that I am at times, I'd know better. All we're called to do is to use the gifts we've been given for the benefit of others... Gifts we've been given, not gifts we don't have but wish we did. We are all quite good enough just as we are; when we recognize it, accept it, embrace it and live accordingly. Others also benefit from our self knowledge, because it allows them the freedom to live the same way. Win/Win!

Yes, so true ,you sound so much like my thoughts :) Thanks, Sean, it just resonates ,and also comforted me to the extent that next time amidst my anxious moments and fear, this shall remind me, I'm not alone, we all go through it and it is absolutely human and normal to both resist and experience it. Best Regards,Mehnaz Amjad

"The darkest moments have the deepest answers." Love that, and it's true; otherwise, singer-songwriters woudl not be so successful! :) It's not those moments that define us, but our reactions to those moments... opportunities to learn.
