nice speakers. the suggested retail price is $99 but i think they are discontinued that's probably why they are so cheap.

also: the excursion on those tiny drivers is nuts, they're really tryna move some air around, the sound tests sounded really impressive for a $20 set of speakers

The negative Amazon reviews include poor quality control, and an "auto off" function that turns them off when no audio is detected for a while -- which includes the quieter portions of some games. So this might not be great for gamers. Note that this auto-off feature is NOT mentioned in the manual, so I am not sure what is up with that.

Thanks for using a decent microphone to do the sound recording. I can actually hear some surprisingly decent bass from these and they probably go down to around 80 Hz.

Bought them for my desktop since ive been looking at speakers for a bit. Had a few reward points saved up so get them for free. I think they'll work just fine for what i want them for. Thanks for the video man.

Yah these speakers have a auto turn off feature not written on the box that turns off the sound after like 1 minute of silence or during low volume segments that im still looking for a way to get rid of

Thanks for the heads up, bought a pair from your link for my wife's home office (I'm a headphones guy, she likes her stuff out loud). She's been looking for some desktop speakers for a while now, so had to jump on these. Feel like I just robbed someone, $20 is outrageous. Almost as good a deal as the JDL headphones, almost. Thanks again for the awesome content!

I need me some new speakers, I have a Logitech z533 set for my pc and the right speaker went out, Im looking for some speakers that can plug into the back of the sub, so I can rock out to two speakers again.

I bought these from walmart online and though it said I "received" it they were stolen off my porch. I wonder if walmart did the same and left the box the same instead of a box that covers up what it is.

Would you recommend these speakers for a beginner producer?

I think as a beginner they would be ok, I've seen and heard beats made on systems with much worse speakers. I think for 20 bucks you can get them and if you feel eventually that you need to upgrade to something more professional then you wouldn't have wasted more than a 20 dollar bill. Hopefully that makes sense.
