Once you get it dialed in…hold on it changes the game. And Lews is second to none on replacement parts. Most of the time if they consider it an older model they will send you the parts for free. But my reel is well over 12years old and I’m attached to it like you wouldn’t believe 🤦♂️

I've been wanting to try one, it's on the higher end of my budget, but based off my past experiences with lews, I know it'll be worth it. I've been using another brands rods and reels and I'm not completely satisfied with their reels (rods are legit) so I'm going to start swapping back over to lews reels. Great video bro.

I have two of the pro G’s. They are pretty phenomenal reels in their own right. I have one of the tournament pros, and it is also pretty phenomenal, but the only thing I don’t like about it is the grips. I like the standard round Winn grips better. I put some of the standard round ones on it and it doesn’t look good to me with all the gold highlights on the reel itself. I tried finding some gold caps for it but to no avail.

As a big swimbait fisherman (IMO) there’s better options out there for $200 but the options I have in mind could be $200+ not hating. I like the Lews reels I do have when I down size to more conventional technique. Regardless good break down 👍🏽

The 2021 zillion is $210 from Japan. Compared to anything Lews, its in another galaxy.
@JB3_fishing5 ай бұрын
And what Lew’s have you used to make that statement?
@Virtue_Signaling_Land_Whale5 ай бұрын
@@JB3_fishing No matter what reel i mention, you will respond with an excuse of why X reel wasn't good enough, or that i didn't use it correctly, so no reason to have a convo about it. There's a reason why the 21 Zillion has been THE reel for anyone that fishes more a few Sundays a year in their local pond, and takes their fishing seriously enough to use a reel worth over $99. The only way you'd use a Lews over it is if you're paid to use their gear, aka being sponsored. That is all there is to it.

@TheRaven2435 ай бұрын
I've owned 2 Black Max and Silver Max reels in the past and they are decent for $50. They just can't compare in weight, casting distance, durability, smoothness or gear ratio selection. Centrifugal brake reels cast much farther than magnetic (Daiwa does a good job with theirs), that's why Shimano has used centrifugal forever. Typical magnetic brake reels slow the spool throughout the entire cast, centrifugal only work at the beginning and let up towards the end making for more distance. Maybe you knew that little nugget of info already?.. Anyway, there is a 1 oz difference in weight between the TP (6.4 oz) and Black Max/MaxX (7.4 oz). If you fish as much as I do it makes a HUGE difference, same goes for a light weight rod.. I have a Tournament Pro a Tournament MP, great reels I've used for years. But, I have leaned towards Shimano for the last 4 years. My Curado MGL's and SLX DC's are the best reels I've used in the $200 category.. Going back to a Black Max/MaxX reel would feel like going from a new Silverado to a 80's Datsun 720.. a 50" 4k tv to a 19" CRT.. a XBOX Series X to ATARI 2600.. Ok, I'm done 😆
@bmillzthelegend5 ай бұрын
The Lews feel is ten times more sensitive than the Abu Garcia’s anything. I own four MGX’s that I use for jigs and power applications. My Lews is for more finesse situations although more than capable of doing the BIG JOBS 💪 in other words my Lews is for when shyt gets tuff 🐕
