Loved this video. I changed tires on bikes when I was a kid but I totally forgot how to do it. I remember when patching, to put the inflated tube in a bucket of water to see bubbles indicating the puncture. Still, of these methods here, #1 was my favorite. It looked simple enough. Thank you!

I had to troubleshoot a puncture in my mates hot tub with soapy water 😂

If you take the tyre off on the opposite side of the chain it would be less messy.

Maybe prevention is better than ‘repair’…I use muc off’s inner tube sealant and have had only 1 puncture since using it (8mth). I will also use panaracer Kevlar tyre liners when I next change my tyres. With both of these I hope to never have to change an inner tube again!!!!

As a Dane, I of course have my original Brompton, Toolset in my frame, - which may not be enough to remove the wheel (even with the cower as a an extended handle), as I can see that You also use a longer Key for the purpose (Do you have secret depots placed along the road at intervals)? I have seen the Toolset sold on E-bay in a special Yellow version also, which will be fitting for my - Flame painted bike, but I don't find that enough for an extra buy, as this feature is the only extra! But it has a small abrasive piece, but no bicycle patches, so I have lately bought a number of small, self adhesive, round patches just to be able to threaten my bike: You dare not have a puncture, as I'm now prepared for it!!! I will of course call a taxi, if anything happens! Finn. Denmark

@@TheBromptonGuy I think you would be disappointed, already have been talking with many countries over the last few days who are puzzled by this so called advancement , everyone have said who have Brompton been talking too , they said it’s customer feedback so I did my own survey and asked , England , Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea, America, not had time to contact the others yet , nobody said this would be their choice of advancement, I think it’s just Brompton talking around the coffee machine with each other , time will tell .

What about those 3D printed tubeless tires? Are they out yet? Similar to the airless 3D printed basketball. Seems to be that 3D printing can make tire pressure exact on tubeless tires, then again, the insides could become caked up with impossible to remove dirt.

@@davidhunternyc1 I wonder if 3D can print humour because many people one meets don’t have any, needs to be printed with greater thickness = we don’t want it to crack up.

@@j.m.3143 Not sure I said I was a Brompton traveler 🤔 Again I'm pretty sure I reference to check the inside, I think also if you are attempting to patch the tube this way you have a pretty good knowledge base of what you're doing. Sorry the channel doesn't please you but loads of other good options to pick from. All the best

Method 3 works ! I've done this several times. It is a quick 'get you home method'. The Brompton guy does say to check the tyre for cause of the puncture. I think you'll find that the Brompton guy has done a fair few km on Bromptons. If you don't like the content here, maybe make some for your channel for us to see and comment on.
