I'm so glad more people are covering this series, it really needs to be talked about more. I wasn't really well versed in the previous doai lore before the series came out apart from the fact that Clyde was a veldegan, so I'm pretty much going into this series completely blind.

This might add to your memory damage oart if the theory, when lankman appears in the video, a description of a lobotomy appears, so that may play a part in it

Just finished the video. I really enjoyed your theory, i have never thought about the veldiguns that way, as previously humans. Either way, I created my version of your theory. If the six original creatures continue being veldiguns, I think that Clyde, Winfrey and The Flock are kinda of the "original" veldiguns, the first ones, not originated from humans. Then, Lankmann discovers that humans can become veldiguns and create Klaus and the other guys. So, why is Winfrey locked up in the asylum? I believe that the veldiguns hibernate, just like the bears. In this moments, they are most vulnerable, and this is when he is captured by the Lankmann Asylum. He tried to escape and, without any hope, started doing what Lankmann wanted him to. This is just my version of your theory, really liked it, as I have already stated. Great video!

I like the idea that Winfrey used to be a human…but my personal theory is that Winfrey used to be THE WOMAN who was abducted…this is mostly my way of coping with the implied death of currently the only human character I care about, due to how bad her experience has been. I also think it could explain the voice that can be heard upon Winfrey’s reveal…it sounds like the woman is saying either “help me” or “don’t leave” though I’m not sure which, and the last time we heard a Veldigun imitate a voice…it didn’t sound like all that good of an impression, where as the voice in Winfrey’s reveal is VERY clearly the kidnapped woman I know it’s probably a stretch, but this is a theory I’ll have in the back of my mind until proven otherwise in the series

Spoilers for the video . . . ... Imagine if the People turning into Veldigun is an actual phenomenon in the series, and Alex turns into The Flock of all things? It would be kind of ironic. The one who was much more human than all around him and that knew more than he should turns into a mindless beast, preying on birds to keep its hunger at bay, while not even having a consciousness to try and remember. ... Look I really like The Flock's design. It just screams no thoughts head empty.
