Today I decided to bring the camera to get my undercoating on the big Van. I decided to go with Krown of Rochester Hills. The price was right, the reviews were stellar, and the job could be done in and out in an hour.

You know my toyota matrix 2009 still look brand new no rust at all because every years i brought my car to krown in Canada known rust protection is very popular now i brought my 2022 toyota venza hybrid to krown too but the only thing I didn't like because they are dripping i have to park my car on the street for one night before I park on my driveway thanks take care bye from milton Ontario Canada 🇨🇦

It's interesting to learn about this. In our warm climates, it's only on the salt flats (Soda Ash) that rust is an issue. There, they spray the undercarriage of machines working with the used engine oil every week.

I thought the krown rust protection maybe just only in Canada but is in the USA too i brought my car every years to krown to protect from the salt and snow ❄ in Toronto Canada 🇨🇦 thanks

I've heard that Krown is quite effective. As for my experience, I've used products like Bar&Chain oil combined with beeswax, PB Blaster Surface Shield, and Corrosion Free, all of which are excellent. These products incorporate lanolin, wax, and oil in their formulations. Cosmoline, often used in the transport of vehicles and by the military, offers far superior protection if you're seeking something more robust. However, I would advise against using rubberized undercoatings, Ziebart tar, and Fluid Film. The main goal of these products should be to wick moisture away from the metal and establish a protective barrier, but these particular options fail to achieve that; they either trap moisture or wash away entirely.

yea... and sometimes water can get trapped under a rubberized undercoating.. from what i have heard.

HaHa its a thing up here. My 2002 Jeep Liberty lasted until now with zero rust thanks to undercoating. My new vehicle has the rubberized undercoating with an electronic rust proof protection system also. Rust is the enemy. That oil based stuff is great and will smoke really well when you leave.
