5:36 She's actually wearing the generic female great knight design from Awakening. People looked through the Awakening art book and found it among the concept art. We never noticed it in game because we rarely see a female great knight off her horse.

So glad someone else brought up the Patrick Seitz as young hector thing. He is SUCH an incredible VA. Kinda underrated if you ask me, cause while I enjoy VAS who can convey emotion well, no one takes the time to aknowledge the VAS with so much range. I had to do a double take too when I first heard it because I was so use to EVERY younger version (male and female) just having their VA do the same voice slightly higher pitched for these alts, but Patrick Seitz DELIVERED. I’m so use to his deep voice, especially in roles like dark cacao cookie in cookie run kingdom where he gets really deep, it was such a pleasant surprise, truly a man who knows his craft.

I honestly love videos like this; opinions almost completely different from mine but presented in way that it isn't obnoxious, but endearing even. Your love and passion for these artworks is so apparent.

I decided to build up DoD Effie purely because of how pretty her outfit and artworks were! Even though she wasn't a character I was particularly interested in, I just had to build her!

One that I was really excited to see was Rearmed/Fallen Chrom, because not only is it a reference to his Risen King Cipher art, but just about everything else: the mark of Grima on his right hand mirroring Robin's, his sword the Arcane Devourer, the Brand of the Exalt on his shoulder that's partially concealed but becomes fully exposed in his damaged portrait, and the mixes of dark purple and red.

By far my favourite this year is a very recent one: New Years Nerthuz. She's a bit of a hot topic much like all the other Book 7 characters, but I always found her design beautiful and unique, exactly what a Goddess should look like imo. I'm not even kidding when I say her New Years art made my jaw drop, she looks so amazing. I even saw some people that hated her original design say that her NY version looks amazing, the artist did such a fantastic job.

Resplendant tiki was amazing I agree on everything you mentioned and also wity time I liked the subversion they did making her a nightmare dragon. I liked bridal too but like in singular that young tiki's face still can't be forgotten. I also like L!Robin's art a ton so it surprised me you disliked it but art is almost the most subjective thing ever so makes sense.

Really cool video and I agree with most of them. I am also glad, that you put Spring Triandra and Rearmed Lucina into the "worst" category. Just out of my head those two are probably the two worst art pieces we got 2023 in FEH. BUT usually we got WAY more amazing/great art in FEH and we definitely had many of them in 2023 too. One of my absolute Favourite Artworks in FEH this year are probably Bridal Flavia (I was so stunned), Rearmed Sonya and Resplendent Surtr. But overall I think there were many, many great ones actually haha. :D

Palla’s resplendent was so good it made me +10 and max dragon flower her immediately I’m not even kidding xD But some others I really enjoyed were Legendary and Ascended Elincia, Veyle, and Arion. Arion was probably my favorite bc I’ve been waiting for him since launch and to finally get him and he looks great AND is a great unit? Just amazing.

I have the Marth figure based off of Daisuke Izuka's art, and I still stare at it in awe despite seeing it every day. My favorite pieces this year are: 1. Teatime Sigurd: I love Sigurd, but for the artist to make him look super cute in a mullet is talent. His smile is everything, his subtle lean in his attack and special art is amazing, the tea pouring around him is unique, by far my favorite of this year. 2. Ascended Ced: An admittedly odd pick, but this art made me fall in love with the character. He's in basic poses, but he commands so much power that it's awe-inspiring. The magic at his fingertips in his damaged art is my favorite part, and his voice acting goes super hard for his crits if you take off Blazing Wind. 3. And finally, Fallen Chrom. A unit that I have been waiting for, I spent two hours after the trailer dropped trying to explain the splendor of his undead majesty to my best friends. The detail of the stab wound, the nod to his official art's pose, the pure aggression in his attack art, the cold stare in his crit, his voice acting--it's perfect. Tl;dr: Teatime Sigurd is cute, A!Ced is cool, and Fallen Chrom goes hard as heck

I find both Claudes we got this year to look absolutely immaculate. It's rare that I have not even a single nitpick with FEH artwork, and it's particulary special because he's like my second favourite FE character and one of my favourite fictional characters in general.

Honestly, i feel like Khadein Byleth's art is reaply overhated, id Honestly call it my 2nd favourite of all of the Byleth arts, Behind Legendary (and maybe Fallen)

This Lucina's art is propably first bad one (besides the resplendant), which is impressive for a character with so many alts. I don't know why they would want to reference female Great Knights (and cavs and armors) from Fates, they look as if some dog torn off their pants right before the battle. It looks silly and this Lucina's art is no different. One thing that bothers me about Kagero/Orochi art is that Kagero is VERY well endowed, while Orochi looks pretty much spot on. It just feels like this it's on this weird middle ground between fan service and lore accurate without committing to either. And maybe it's just me constantly having to look at Anna's picture while slowly translating Nohrian Festival of Bonds in Fates, but i really like harmonized double Anna.

This was a pretty decent year for Heroes art. Of the entire year, I’d say V!Effie and N!Reina were my personal favorites 😁. I’mma have to check out your ratings of previous years as well, it seems.

A couple of my favorites from 2023 were Eitr, Veyle, Celine, Fomortiis, and Resplendent Brave Roy.

I love most Heroes art, even the "bad" ones it is just an thing i love about Heroes However i do not like the heroes that look like little children or have baby faces (12:14 for example). I do like the baby banner units art tho, and i do think young Hector is really good even. But i am not really into the theme of those kind of banners

Not a fan of Azusa's Byleth art either. So bad that I don't even use him so much.

My favorites are S!Ymir and A!Triandra and yes ichikawa halu is my new favorite feh artist.

Harken, Isadora, attuned Nino, rearmed Tana and summer L'arachel were my favorites. The negatives were anything involving the terrible OCs of the last book and Cuboon ruining good characters. I really wish anyone else would've drawn the Karla duo.

About Triandra: if Yoshiku designs a character, almost no other artist can nail those characters as well as Yoshiku. Asatani Tomoyo: not JUST Eirika, but also vanilla Ayra and Larcei. The faces are the same... Summer Fjorm: not just great art, she is a FORCE. There must be a reason why IntSys chose Wada Sachiko-sensei to draw in ALL 7 CYLs so far. Even the great Kita Senri missed one.

I was so happy when Diamant was added to the game but...yeah, i imagined his art a little different, i don't dislike it tho, it's just that it could've been better? Other style would've suit him better? Same for Geoffrey, he deserved and art by Senri Kita😭 As for the christmas banner this year is one of the most beautiful banners ever, i love it sooooo much, Edelgard looks so pretty and happy🥺💖and it's nice to get a good art for male byleth

A few art and non-art related things: - Rika Suzuki continues to prove that being overstimulated with glittery, goddess-level beauty is indeed a thing and it's lowkey scary. If she were to draw one of my huge favorites in FEH, I would probably disintegrate (Though she has drawn Brave Robin in some celebratory art so... That's the next best thing I suppose ^^;). - I agree on the Triandra art due to how it feels like art direction is trying too hard to be fanservicey... But I kinda disagree on Duo Kagero's art for the same reason. On that note I would also add Spring Karla, because imo it barely looks like Karla at all. - I'm conflicted by Rearmed Lucina not just due to the design, but also because I wanted to see her in her Exalted Queen attire from Cipher and now we probably never will ;v;... - MY BOI ROBIN HAS BEEN DONE JUSTICE INDEED! Now they just have to keep it up ;v; (Never give Grima a prf skill again unless it's somehow, beyond all scraps of logic, them, by themself, as a Mythic. That turned out JUST GREAT for FRobin as we can see ;m;...).

I know sex sells well, but I’m getting so tired with all this “sexy” art in FEH, especially when it’s mostly only for the female characters. But somehow this year it felt better? Like most of the “sexy” female characters that got added or had an alt made got done so nicely and ACTUALLY looked attractive for once in not an oversexualized way? I’m glad tbh, like Effie’s alt alone got my little gay heart falling for her on SIGHT. (We will NOT talk about the OCs, I love Gullveig myself, but dear god was this OC lineup oversexualized to ridiculous extremes even for my taste)

As for art, Hiadri delivered as always with that fallen byleth. Bringing them for brave Alm and celica was cool but the potential for them to come and draw some favs from other FE games would be so cool! I love bride tikis art she looks beautiful , mostly because you can tell even the artist did not wanna draw young tiki with how bad her face looks lol I would too. Outside of rearmed Lucina the only bad art was really any alt that felt too bland or unoriginal, which isn’t the the artist fault, some artists can make even bland designs look good but doesn’t make them any less bland to look at. The overly sexy designs to me not my fav either. I’m all in favor in having sexy male designs to balance out the women but IS could never but that doesn’t stop me from complaining that Lucina should have pants.

I'm a simple guy. I see both Ninian and Roy wear Nifl for their resplendents and my inner Eliwood x Ninian mind goes crazy.

I’m surprised Nerthuz wasn’t in worst, because tbh her design is absolutely offensive to the eyes. She has way too much going on with the colors, the weird floaty shit and the twin moons plastered on her chest. Might be a contender for worst design in all of FE imo.
