The RK3588 chips are going to amazing once they put it on smaller form factors like a CM4 daughter board. I am trying to get my hands on the ROCK5 Model B.

it does not work just fine with Netflix you must put in a plug-in Mouse to scroll up and down side to side it does not go up and down using the remote control Amazon Prime video and Disney Plus the remote control works just fine but we've Netflix you have to plug in a mouse to the box to scroll up and down do not give up your Nvidia shield for this but I went to purchase this box after viewing this video and others like it

Will this do Atmos output? I got one of these today and trying to figure out how to test. KZfaq on my sheild and apple tv and fire tv cube all does 5.1 out, but so far I am just getting 2.0 out the mekotronics box. I went through all the setup and it didnt seem that anything was not enabled that should be. Also looks like your power button blinks all the time during use like mine does, that's kinda annoying.

Great video, can you mount smb shared folders on a NAS with the supplied android software like you can on the shield?

I could be wrong but I dont think this box will ever receive a android OS update? Missing netflix means it didnt get a certification and wont be supported. I lf I am wrong please correct this.

Yes you would most likely have to upgrade yourself

I think the biggest factor will be Rockchip releasing drivers for the next Android update. Mekotronics are very quick to respond and they release minor updates and are also working on Debian and Ubuntu. At the moment it is only Widevine Level 3 and Netflix is indeed not certified. But most people have the streaming apps on their smart TV anyway.

Given this has HDMI 2.1 support do you think with the Moonlight Android client you could output 4k at 120Hz if you had a sufficiently powerful NVIDIA graphics card in the host PC to push 4k 120fps?

I live up here in Canada this Android TV box which I purchase some 2 weeks ago does not even come with Canadian time zone in it or its cities it is not a replacement for the Nvidia Shield TV box

Yeah its not going to be the best box for 8k for sure, however it is significantly more powerful than the shield with a lot more inputs and outputs... so better for emulation hands down

@@testosteroneinc.3800 That box can display 8K. The Shield has seriously outdated CPU cores and not everything can be compensated by the GPU. Can the Shield play KZfaq in 4K and record in 4K at the same time? This box can!

Just got one it's amazing. However stupidest question. How in the world do you bring up all the open apps to close them? I know this sounds like I shouldn't be using such a power house of a system if I can't figure this out.

also the remote control only turned it off it does not turn it on you have to manually turn it on I did not have to do that with the Android TV box Nvidia Shield any other Android TV box that I have here at home

I was too gullible following all the hype on KZfaq videos about this box and I went and purchase it and I am disappointed the Nvidia Shield TV box is the best point blank.

Can you give more details about your disappointment. I also was considering it instead of shield because of supposed much better emulation performance for gamecube wii. I ultimately went with shield pro because of questionable support and return policy if something goes wrong and not sure if I made right choice.

this box is not a replacement for the Nvidia Shield I purchased just two weeks ago this new box 16GB of memory I'm 64 GB of storage it cost me 300 US dollars I would not make that mistake again

I bought it for $300 it is 16 GB of memory and 64 GB of storage if somebody gives me $250 for it I'll take it and I'll go and I'll buy Nvidia Shield TV box

@@drewtalks maybe talk about how it supports everything every other device has in one. IE no need to buy all these other devices like Apple 4K Google chromecast. How it handles media across a NAS device instead of using Plex media
