In 2023 Nubia RedMagic Released probably the best gamepad to play in your smartphone. It can be connected to almost every Android device thanks to the Type-C connection and can be used to play cloud gaming, Android Games and map the buttons thanks to the built-in features.
This controller can be purchased on redmagic official store and works perfect with some emulators, you can see another video with the GamePad using a playstation 2 emulator in this channel.

I know a lot of these devices look similar but this looks like a 1:1 clone of the Gamesir x2 Pro, which costs less

DONT get the gamesir x2 pro!! I waisted my money on it, there's a problem with the device that very very very many users including myself had, the left trigger will not respond, I questioned gamesir about this and they had me recalibrate try older firmware, back to the latest nothing worked. In the end they just stopped talking with me, horrible service and straight up crooks! I had been a loyal gamesir fan for a very long time but after this happened to me and their refusal to actually help me I will never again buy a product from them.

Will be that the Red Magic Shadow Blade Gamepad is optimized for the Redmagic 7S Pro? To connect the gamepad to 7 S Pro, will be recognized automatically as well as occurs with the Redmagic 8, not being required the installation of a third-party application to the mapping of the buttons?

For cloud gaming or games that support external controlers you won't find any problems and no software will be needed to make it work. In order to map the buttons RedMagic should update the GameSpace to Version 6.0 (like RM8, instead of 5.5 of RM7S pro) and then X-Gravity platform will be included so everything could be set-up on the gaming mode itself. Until this does not happen in order to map the buttons you will need to donwload the "Extern device" App from Nubia China

I'm in doubt between this and the Gamesir X2 Pro, already that seem to be the same model, especially if you overlaps the images of them, the only difference are some details that made to put the brand Redmagic. The Gamesir X2 is cheaper and has a app itself to mapping of the buttons, only that my fear is lose some optimization that may have with Redmagic Shadow Blade Handle!!

Ordered one and it was supposed to show up last week but the guy delivering my mail magically "returned to sender" an hour after an "attempted delivery" notice was left. Still waiting to finally receive it, but I'm looking forward to it. Awesome little review.

It is a rebranded gamesir x2 pro, so it's going to work with any usb type c android phones.

Very Good question! Sorry for not showing it on the video but YES it does. there is a USB type-c that can be used to plug-in the cable and since the phone is connected via usb type-c it can charge the phone. Confirmed 100% for the RedMagic 8 pro and Redmagic 7, not 100% sure about other Android devices.

Only Selected ones have compatibility with the gamepad... in case games do not have it implemented you still have tools to map the buttons to tactile controls.

Can the pass-through USB-C port do video output?

It does not, USB-C is only for charging purpouses, If I attempt to pass video a "Liquid or debris" message appears and locks the USB.

I don't think so, you will be able to use it for nomal use but not with Gravity X for custom mapping.

Fornite yes, Call of duty need some tricks, warzon yes. Farlight and Blood stricke needs to be tested but on the worst situation you can map the buttons to maket it work

We have not tested this compatibility but I don't think there should be any problem because drivers are the same. And on the worst scenario you could simple map the buttons with the on-screen controller to make it work.

For cloud gaming or using controller suported games it is 100% compatible. For mappint buttons with 6S pro you won't be able to do it without the extern APP.

Yes it is, you can move throught the system, play cloud gaming and Android compatible games... but in order to map the buttons is not that easy as RM8 pro since X-gravity platform is not build yet for RM7 pro, RedMagic needs to updated to RedMagic OS 6.0

This is just a rebranded controller, instead of making something that works with covers they made the most basic controller in the market.

I'd hardly call the X2 Pro the most basic controller on the market, it's among the best. It's also less expensive than the Redmagic rebrand and doesn't have the huge ugly Redmagic branding.

To play cloud gaming or games that recognize external controllers I would say most of the android phones with USB 3.0 will work. I tested it with some samsung devices and no problem. IF you want to mapp buttons on screen on any android then you will need to download the "Extern" app from Nubia, for some reason it is not the one in the google play store and need to be downloaded from Nubia china and the version is: 2.3.06.01161457

Thanks for your comment. We haven't tried with eggns emulator and we recommend using Skyline emulator for Switch. We will create a video on the future for emulation :)
