Good settings, playing on a 27inch 240hz oled monitor so 1440p res was alot clearer for me but the rest made the game run pretty smooth, feels bad having a beastly computer (4090 etc) just to lower settings, also sometimes you can bottleneck ur cpu by playing with to low settings so 1440p def helps there.

Insanely good video i run the game flawless. A few queations tho , i see you run fixed refresh rate, but do you still have G-sync on ? And do you run your game in Administration mod or just start it from steam and finally do you have performancemod in nvidia adjust image settins or quality?, Greatly appreciate 🙏 I'll leave a subscription no doubt and recommend you to my fellowship of apex players. Im having trouble i have amd and i have stretched rez at 1440 by 1080 and it will not let me have 120 fov Idk why but when i set it to like normal i can hit f12 and it will enable 120 but doesnt work when i have stretch rez. It doesnt make sense to me

There are a couple of commands that help with audio but it isn’t drastic. Mostly used for FPS increase :)

When I launch the game for the first time after the changes it worked perfectly and then when I run it for the second time model details became better like before the changes. Idk why...

Is it normal for fps to drop from 165 to 130 ish in congested area, i cannog lock it to a stable 165 Also is half adaptive bad, it gives me a fluctuating frame rate of 300 to 130

Nah that’s definitely good enough to run apex. There has been a stutter that everyone has been getting lately but it’s pretty random.

Depending on the file that your changing, go to properties and check the read only box after you have made the changes, any time you want to change something you have to uncheck the read only box.

If your videoconfig is set to read only, that will force your settings every time you launch the game. try to uncheck that and change the settings, then recheck read only

I fixed it though you have to type a few commands like “+fps_max 0 -dev +exec autoexec.cfg” then you go to the front of the commands so before “+fps_max 0” and type in the rest of the commands you want like the stretched res ones.

Very interesting video, but now I'm puzzled with something else... When I enter whichever game mode (including firing range) my fps will be at something like 145 until it naturally reaches its cap, which is 165. Any idea why?

That’s odd. I know there’s a bug with apex where the game is choppy when you first launch it. Looks/feels like 30fps, but it’s only 20fps lower than whatever your cap is. If it’s just after startup, it’s normal, just wait it out when you launch the game :)

making a video on it this week! there aren’t too many differences, but i’m gonna change up the autoexec a little bit and do some tweaks to see if I can’t get better performance. on the bright side, they optimized the game a little better in S20 so everyone should have better FPS all around.

@@f0rbi okay sounds good ill take ya word for it. i need something bad man im playing on a toaster i got a shit radeon 570 i literally get 40-70 fps in game i get worse fps then console. it's actually so bad my screen freezes every 10 seconds ill get a kill and screen will freeze for a sec. can barely hot drop because I'm lagging and have like no fps when I'm landing it's so bad its getting to the point i dont even want to play i just factory reset my pc and its still shit, am i going to have to change anything when i download the file ?

packet loss is usually server issues so not a problem on your end but more on apex's end

if you graphics are messed up u can delete the video settings file then open apex and the default folder will spawn

you’ve gotta make a custom res, or change the videoconfig file’s resolution to 1680x1050. You can make a custom res through control panel, or CRU

then your monitor is capping to 60fps, or you have something else capping it

@@f0rbi i dont think its the monitor one is 144hz and the other is 360hz to seasons ago i ran apex fine at 200 fps but i took a break came back and now i cant get over 60fps this is probably the 15th video minimum ive watched

@@muskwaa- try hitting the F8 key in game to cap it higher, it’s within my autoexec if you use like F3 for anything it’ll cap it lower, but the fps max should override it generally
